Jonathan Bennett Celebrates Mean Girls Day and Ninja Partner

October 3, 2026 3 min read 0 comments

Actor Jonathan Bennett marked the annual “Mean Girls” Day phenomenon on October 3 by blending nostalgic pop culture celebration with a brand-new commercial partnership. Best known for his iconic role as Aaron Samuels in the 2004 teen comedy classic, Bennett teamed up with kitchen appliance brand Ninja to promote the launch of its PREPi food preparation and storage system.

The collaboration highlights both Bennett’s enduring connection to the film and his personal routine for maintaining the physical conditioning required for his television work. The General Hospital star credited his streamlined meal preparation habits using the newly released appliance for helping him stay in shape.

Celebrating Two Decades of ‘Mean Girls’ Legacy

October 3 has evolved into a global cultural holiday for fans of “Mean Girls.” The date was inspired by a pivotal scene where Cady Heron, played by Lindsay Lohan, asks Aaron Samuels what day it is. Two decades after the film’s release, Bennett continues to embrace the internet-wide phenomenon rather than distance himself from the role.

“I know a lot of actors, when they get famous for a role, as their career builds and evolves, they try to lean away from it. I would never do that, because I owe my entire life to ‘Mean Girls’,” Bennett shared in interviews discussing the anniversary. He expressed deep gratitude to director Mark Waters, writer Tina Fey, and producer Lorne Michaels for launching his career.

The Ninja PREPi Kitchen Partnership

For this year’s October 3 festivities, Bennett leveraged his pop culture footprint to introduce consumers to the Ninja PREPi food preparation and storage system. The appliance handles time-consuming kitchen tasks like chopping, dicing, slicing, shredding, and puréeing within a single bowl. This design aligns directly with Bennett’s strict dietary regimen.

“I’m on ‘General Hospital’ and have to be shirtless all of the time, so meal prep has become a huge part of my life,” Bennett explained. He noted that the compact 500-watt system allows him to prepare healthy meals the night before work. It minimizes cleanup by utilizing a single dishwasher-safe bowl that goes from the kitchen table straight to the refrigerator.

Reflecting the iconic movie’s trademark aesthetic, the product rollout even features a special Pink Peppercorn colorway. This nods to the film’s famous rule that “on Wednesdays we wear pink.”

Maintaining Momentum On and Off Screen

Beyond his recent television stint on General Hospital and food-focused brand collaborations like the Ninja PREPi, Bennett remains active across entertainment platforms. From hosting duties on holiday programs and food competition shows to making his Broadway debut in 2024, the actor maintains a busy professional schedule. He remains eternally connected to the North Shore High School legacy that started it all.
