Prime Video has officially announced that all eight episodes of The Terminal List Season 2 will premiere on October 21, 2026. The action-thriller series, which stars Chris Pratt as former Navy SEAL commander James Reece, will launch simultaneously in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. Amazon revealed the global release date during its May 11, 2026, Upfront presentation in New York City, followed by a promotional rollout that included teaser images in August and an official trailer on September 17, 2026.
The upcoming season adapts True Believer, the second novel in Jack Carr’s best-selling James Reece book series. While the first season focused tightly on a personal revenge campaign, Season 2 expands the narrative into a sweeping international espionage thriller. In the new episodes, the CIA corners Reece and offers him a presidential pardon in exchange for tracking down a dangerous resurgent group that has turned one of his former allies to its cause.
Global Scope and Production Scale
The narrative scope of Season 2 takes James Reece across multiple continents. He travels from the Indian Ocean through Northern and Southern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. According to production details, Reece uncovers a vast conspiracy stretching from Moscow to Langley that is deeply connected to his own family’s history.
The franchise continues to draw massive audiences. Amazon reports an aggregate viewership of more than 100 million watchers globally, though the company has not disclosed specific measurement periods or counting methodologies for these figures. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios, MRC, and Civic Center Media. Executive producers include Chris Pratt via Indivisible Productions, showrunner David DiGilio, author Jack Carr, Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick through Fuqua Films, Max Adams, and Jared Shaw.

Commitment to Military Authenticity
Authenticity remains a core pillar for the production team. Former Army Ranger Max Adams and former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw oversee the show’s tactical action and authenticity work. They are joined by military veterans working across the production as writers, actors, on-set technical advisors, and directors, including former Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza.
Reflecting on the tone and dedication behind the project, Chris Pratt shared his perspective during promotional rollouts. “This season is a love letter to the special operations community,” Pratt stated. “It’s an action thriller, but there’s also real beauty and poetry in it. At its heart, this season is dedicated to the men and women who do this work-the people who operate in the shadows, make extraordinary sacrifices, and rarely ask for recognition.”
Fans looking to bridge the gap between Season 1 and the upcoming global release can also stream the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, which explores the origins of Navy SEAL Ben Edwards, on Prime Video.
