Scottish pop-rock band Texas has officially announced a major United Kingdom arena tour for October 2027, celebrating the 30th anniversary of their landmark fourth studio album, White on Blonde. The upcoming tour will take the band across Scotland, England, and Wales, delivering live performances of the iconic record alongside a career-spanning catalog of hits.

The 18-date UK and European tour kicks off at the P&J Live Arena in Aberdeen on Friday, October 15, 2027, and will conclude at the Utilita Arena in Birmingham on Saturday, October 30, 2027. Fellow Scottish icons Del Amitri will join Texas as special guests across all UK and Ireland dates.

Celebrating Three Decades of White on Blonde

Released in February 1997, White on Blonde arrived during the height of the Britpop era. It stood out by blending the band’s core pop sensibility with deep influences of soul, funk, and trip-hop. The album debuted at Number One on the UK Albums Chart, generated five Top 10 singles-including “Say What You Want,” “Halo,” and “Black Eyed Boy”-and has since been certified six-times platinum in the UK.

Frontwoman Sharleen Spiteri reflected on the independent ethos that shaped the album’s creation. “We had nothing to lose, and anyway, I didn’t want to fit in,” Spiteri said. “If everybody’s doing something, I’m always running in the opposite direction and that’s always been the attitude… We will play our own tune. If you want to jump on, great. If you hate us, fine. But this is what we want to do.”

Anniversary Reissue and New Single

Alongside the live tour announcement, the band has confirmed a special 30th-anniversary reissue of White on Blonde. It is scheduled for release on February 5, 2027, via Play It Again Sam. The package will be available across multiple formats, including vinyl releases for the first time, a double CD, and streaming platforms. It will feature bonus rarities, unreleased demos, and sleeve notes penned by comedian Peter Kay.

To support the anniversary campaign, Texas also released a brand-new single titled “Another Way To Cry.” The Northern Soul-infused track is paired with a cinematic music video directed by Niall Trask and filmed in the Scottish Highlands. It stars Spiteri alongside acclaimed actor and longtime friend Robert Carlyle. The visual serves as a direct homage to Wim Wenders’ acclaimed film Paris, Texas, from which the band derived its name.
