Clodagh McKenna Showcases Harry Herbert in New ITV Series

Chef and television presenter Clodagh McKenna is inviting viewers directly into her family home for a brand-new television project. Her latest program, Clodagh: Cooking at Home, premiered on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 12 p.m. on ITV1 and began streaming on ITVX. Filmed at Broadspear Farm in the UK, the series highlights everyday farm life, family routines, and accessible recipes straight from her kitchen, with her husband, Harry Herbert, making his debut on screen.

Although Herbert has no previous television background, McKenna told EVOKE that he adapted effortlessly to the production. Calling him a natural in front of the camera, she praised his contribution and suggested viewers would quickly warm to his presence. “He was so amazing,” McKenna shared. “Everybody is going to fall in love with him because he is the real star of the show, not me. This was his first time, and he was just brilliant-everybody in the production was just so incredibly impressed.”

Inside Life at Broadspear Farm

The six-episode series is set across Broadspear, a 100-acre Berkshire farm located within the grounds of Highclere. Rather than relying on a traditional studio setup, the show integrates the couple’s genuine lifestyle, capturing how work, family, and agriculture intersect. Alongside Herbert, viewers can expect appearances from McKenna’s extended Irish family members and her stepchildren.

The property itself serves as an active backdrop. Episodes feature scenes from the walled garden, the pickling shed where fresh greens are harvested, and the daily care of the farm’s animals, including hens, ducks, and pigs in the woods. Harry Herbert-who runs Highclere Thoroughbred Racing and is a son of the late 7th Earl of Carnarvon-participates primarily as an honest taste-tester, enjoying dishes prepared by his wife both indoors and outdoors around the grounds.

Balancing Busy Careers and Home Routines

Balancing multiple professional commitments requires clear boundaries for the couple. McKenna explained that they maintain a strict schedule to protect their time together away from work. “We always try and have weekends off, which sometimes can be a little bit hard with my work, and we also finish up work at 6 o’clock,” she noted. By wrapping up early in the evening, they keep a steady rhythm that flows into their weekend cooking habits.

Food sits at the heart of the series, shifting from rapid weekday meals to comforting weekend rituals. Some of the featured menu items include:

  • Broccoli salmon noodles: A fast 20-minute dish designed for busy weeknights.
  • All-in-one spicy sausage pasta: A straightforward one-pan meal showcased in the premiere episode.
  • Pear, thyme, and brie tart: A more unexpected baking choice highlighted in the kitchen.
  • Weekend roast chicken rotation: A Saturday roast chicken that transitions into a slow-cooked chicken broth, Sunday chicken salad, and her signature “cuddle me chicken soup” on Sunday night.

Looking Ahead to New Adventures

With the renovation of their London home now complete, McKenna and Herbert are turning their attention toward future travel plans. McKenna expressed enthusiasm for upcoming getaways, mentioning a potential cruise holiday following the launch of her television series and the ongoing promotion of her cookbook, Clodagh at Home.

Supported by ITV and Oceania Cruises, Clodagh: Cooking at Home offers a personal window into a working farm kitchen, combining practical home-cooked meals with a warm look at family life in rural Berkshire.
