The global stage phenomenon Magic Mike Live returns to Australia in 2027 with an ambitious new touring production. Created and co-directed by Channing Tatum, the show transforms major Australian venues into immersive, 360-degree environments. It offers audiences an intimate, high-energy experience combining dance, acrobatics, comedy, and live music.
Tour Schedule and Venue Details
The Australian leg of the tour kicks off at the Crown Theatre in Perth, with performances beginning on February 24, 2027. Following the Perth season, the production moves to South Australia, playing at the Adelaide Festival Centre’s Festival Theatre from April 7 to April 24, 2027. The timing of the Adelaide season coincides with the AFL Gather Round, adding significant activity to the city’s entertainment calendar.
Both the Crown Theatre and the Festival Theatre undergo major reconfigurations to accommodate the production’s unique design. These modifications surround the audience with the action, marking a departure from traditional stage layouts to match the intimacy of the show’s Las Vegas and London residencies.
Cast and Creative Direction
This production features the largest company assembled for a Magic Mike Live show to date. The international cast includes performers from Germany, Switzerland, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Kalon Badenhorst leads the production as “Mike,” while the role of the MC is shared by Chelsea Lee Wheatley and Australian performer Julie Yamannee.
Local talent is also represented. Australian dancer Kiana De Van Der Schueren returns to her home state of South Australia for the Adelaide performances. The creative team is led by Emmy-nominated choreographer Alison Faulk and associate director Luke Broadlick. Music supervision is handled by Jack London, with scenic design by Rob Bissinger and Anita LaScala of ARDA Studio.
Production Background
Since its 2017 premiere, Magic Mike Live has entertained nearly two million guests worldwide. The touring show introduces new choreography, music, and staging while retaining the fan-favorite moments and interactive elements of the original residencies. According to executive producer Vincent Marini, the tour represents an evolution of the brand designed to be bigger, bolder, and more groundbreaking than previous iterations.
