Today show meteorologist Dylan Dreyer has indicated that her divorce from Brian Fichera is officially finalized. The television personality shared this personal life update while discussing her daily household dynamics on an episode of her podcast, The Parent Chat.

Speaking candidly to listeners on Thursday, October 15, Dreyer referred to herself as “recently divorced” while talking about adjusting to single motherhood. The couple, who married in 2012, share three young sons: Calvin, 9, Oliver, 6, and Russell (Rusty), 4.

Navigating Life After Separation With Family Support

During the podcast episode, Dreyer opened up about her new living arrangement. She revealed that her mother, Linda Bullington, has been staying with her for extended periods-spanning weeks and months at a time-to help manage the daily demands of raising three boys.

"As you know, I’m recently divorced, so my mom has been staying with me for months at a time," Dreyer shared on the program. "I don’t know what I would do without having my mom here. I don’t think a couple years ago, my mom ever thought that she would be kind of living with me, emptying out backpacks, cleaning off the lunch boxes, and helping me run everybody around."

Dreyer officially filed for divorce in March following the couple’s public announcement of their separation in July 2025. Despite these major life changes, the NBC meteorologist has consistently emphasized that she and Fichera maintain a strong, amicable coparenting relationship for the sake of their children.

A Shift Toward Coparenting and Suburban Living

This latest legal and personal update follows several major transitions for Dreyer over the past year. In late 2024, Dreyer and Fichera listed their marital home and moved out of fast-paced city life. Following in the footsteps of fellow Today anchors, they relocated to the suburbs to focus on a quieter environment for their family.

Reflecting on her modern family dynamic, Dreyer noted that separating has ultimately brought a sense of relief and positive energy to their household. "I think the older generation will say ‘stay together for the kids,’ but my situation is ‘separate for the kids’ because they see us happier, they see us more lighthearted," Dreyer previously stated in interviews following the split.

With her mother stepping in to handle after-school routines, packing duties, and household organization, Dreyer continues to balance her demanding media career with hands-on motherhood, successfully steering her family into its next chapter.
