Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice has announced a major 25-city international tour for 2027 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of his critically acclaimed debut album, O. The global milestone tour will span Australia, Asia, Europe, the United Kingdom, and the Americas, bringing his timeless, stripped-back music back to stages worldwide.
A Milestone Celebration for a Landmark Album
Released originally in February 2002 on his own label, O became an instant touchstone for introspective acoustic songwriting in the 2000s. Funded initially by a loan from his father and recorded largely at home, the album defied conventional industry expectations. It went on to win the prestigious Shortlist Prize for Artistic Achievement in Music and earned a Gold certification in the United States.
Fan-favorite singles such as ‘The Blower’s Daughter’ and ‘Cannonball’ have continued to amass hundreds of millions of streams over the years. This upcoming 2027 tour marks the album’s 25 years of existence, offering long-time fans and a newer generation a rare chance to hear the record performed live in intimate venues.
