Sacramento’s premier country music festival is officially making a high-profile comeback. Organizers Danny Wimmer Presents announced that the GoldenSky Country Music Festival will return to Discovery Park on October 9-10, 2027. Following a two-year hiatus that saw cancellations in 2025 and 2026, the festival is returning with a star-studded lineup led by major chart-toppers Zach Bryan, Megan Moroney, Ty Myers, and Treaty Oak Revival.
The announcement was preceded by a creative drone show over Sacramento’s historic Tower Bridge. This show gave fans a sneak peek at the headlining acts before the full 23-act roster was officially released on Thursday, October 15. Ticket sales opened immediately following the reveal, kicking off with exclusive SMS and email subscriber presales ahead of general public availability.
A Massive Lineup for a Much-Anticipated Return
Festival organizers acknowledged that skipping two years meant the event needed to return with significant momentum. Chamie McCurry, general manager of Danny Wimmer Presents, emphasized the dedication behind the new booking strategy.
“We’ve missed GoldenSky, and after two years away, we knew if we were bringing it back, we needed to come back big,” said Chamie McCurry, general manager of Danny Wimmer Presents. “This lineup feels like the perfect return, reflecting what’s exciting in country music right now while staying true to what made people fall in love with GoldenSky in the first place.”
The complete artist bill spans modern country, Americana, roots, and southern rock. It features a mix of established superstars and rising breakout acts. The announced performers for the 2027 weekend include:
- Zach Bryan
- Megan Moroney
- Ty Myers
- Treaty Oak Revival
- Whiskey Myers
- Hudson Westbrook
- Max McNown
- Wyatt Flores
- Vincent Mason
- Avery Anna
- Braxton Keith

- The Band Perry
- Carter Faith, Noah Rinker, Tyler Nance, Graham Barham, Los Hermanos Mendoza, and Fey Fili
Long-Term Commitment to Sacramento
The 2027 event marks a fresh chapter under a newly secured three-year agreement. Danny Wimmer Presents has partnered with Visit Sacramento, Sacramento County, and the City of Sacramento to lock in festival dates through 2029.
Mike Testa, President and CEO of Visit Sacramento, noted the economic and cultural impact the festival brings to the region. He highlighted its proven track record of drawing tourism dollars and music fans from across the country.
Unlike the expanded three-day format tested in 2024, the 2027 edition will return to its classic two-day schedule. The festival’s return aligns with a broader city strategy to feature Sacramento’s two heavy-hitting music festivals-GoldenSky and the rock-centric Aftershock-on consecutive weekends at Discovery Park, cementing the capital city as a premier live music destination.
