Big30 Supports Pooh Shiesty Amid Federal Racketeering Case

October 20, 2026 3 min read 0 comments

Memphis rapper Big30 has publicly expressed steadfast support for his longtime friend and collaborator Pooh Shiesty. He shared a message of loyalty on social media while both artists navigate a heavy federal criminal case. The ongoing legal battle stems from an alleged armed confrontation at a Dallas recording studio involving rap star Gucci Mane.

Taking to his Instagram Story, Big30 addressed their contrasting living situations while awaiting trial. Having previously been released under restrictions following his initial bond fight, Big30 highlighted the stark physical separation between them. He emphasized their unbreakable bond and continuing musical influence.

“I’m on house arrest you in a cell,” Big30 wrote on Instagram, adding, “NEVER GIVE UP ON US WE GOD FAVORITE.”

The post arrived shortly after Gucci Mane aired his own grievances on the track “1017,” the closing song from his October album Against All Odds. While the song targeted unnamed artists who allegedly acted self-made after receiving financial and career backing, Big30 did not explicitly address or name Gucci Mane in his statement.

The Origins of the Federal Case

The federal prosecution traces back to an alleged incident on January 10, at a Dallas recording studio. According to federal prosecutors and court documents, a business meeting concerning Pooh Shiesty’s recording contract devolved into an armed takeover. Authorities allege that Pooh Shiesty pulled an AK-style firearm and forced Gucci Mane to sign paperwork releasing him from his 1017 label agreement.

Investigators claim that cash and jewelry were also taken from victims at the scene. Big30, legally known as Rodney Wright Jr., was accused by prosecutors of blocking the studio door to prevent exits during the altercation. Both Big30 and Pooh Shiesty (Lontrell Williams Jr.) have pleaded not guilty to charges including conspiracy to commit kidnapping and robbery.

Bond Battles and Legal Hurdles

While Big30 successfully secured bond, which led to his release under house arrest, Pooh Shiesty has faced repeated setbacks. Judges have denied his bond requests on multiple occasions. This keeps him incarcerated ahead of a trial currently scheduled for February 22, 2027. Legal representatives for Pooh Shiesty have since raised concerns regarding his strict confinement conditions behind bars.

The case has also extended beyond the two primary artists. Pooh Shiesty’s father, Lontrell Williams Sr., was similarly charged in connection with the incident. Prosecutors are actively moving to challenge and scrutinize release statuses across the entire group of defendants.

Combating Internet Rumors

As the legal process stretches forward, Big30 has actively pushed back against online speculation. Earlier in the proceedings, after securing his release on bond while Pooh Shiesty remained jailed, social media users floated unverified rumors regarding potential cooperation with federal authorities. Big30 swiftly shut down the chatter online, writing firmly, “Don’t believe the hype. Never will I ever.”

Despite the severe federal scrutiny, surveillance evidence reviews, and mounting procedural hurdles, Big30’s recent messaging confirms that his personal alliance with Pooh Shiesty remains unchanged as they prepare for their day in federal court.
