Former The Bachelorette star Tyler Cameron and his fiancée, Tate Madden, shared a major life milestone during an episode of Dancing With the Stars. On Dedication Night, Cameron and Madden announced that they are expecting their first child together, revealing live in the ballroom that they are having a baby girl.
The announcement took place on Oct. 20 during a contemporary routine. Cameron performed alongside his professional dance partner, Sharna Burgess, to Ed Sheeran’s “Supermarket Flowers.” The routine was dedicated to mothers everywhere, serving as a special tribute to Cameron’s late mother, Andrea Cameron, who passed away in 2020 at the age of 55 following a brain aneurysm.
During the performance, a pre-recorded voiceover played featuring Cameron addressing his late mother. “You would have loved the woman I’m gonna marry,” Cameron said in the audio as he danced. “All the things that made you special, I found in her. She’s gonna be the most incredible mama, just like you. And we’re gonna have a baby.”
As the dance progressed, Madden joined Cameron and Burgess on the ballroom floor. The couple proudly displayed her growing baby bump before Cameron lifted her, spun her around, and shared an embrace. Judge Bruno Tonioli praised the couple following the routine, telling them it felt like they were “dancing with three hearts beating as one.” The performance earned Cameron and Burgess a score of 32 out of 40.
Following the dance, host Alfonso Ribeiro led a live gender reveal in the ballroom. Pink confetti rained down over the stage, confirming that the couple is expecting a daughter. “This is incredible,” Cameron exclaimed after the reveal. “I get to be a girl dad-what a gift! What an amazing opportunity!”
A Whirlwind Romance Leading to Parenthood
The pregnancy news arrives two months after Cameron and Madden announced their engagement. The pair first crossed paths professionally in 2022 while filming Cameron’s home renovation series, Going Home with Tyler Cameron. Their relationship turned romantic two years later, and they went Instagram-official in late 2024.
In August 2026, Cameron proposed to Madden during a beachside getaway at Little Palm Island in Florida. The couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post captioned, “Better late than never they say.”
Tyler Cameron’s Journey Since The Bachelorette
Cameron first rose to national prominence as a fan favorite on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette in 2019. Following his time on the reality dating show, he has remained a fixture in reality television, launching modeling ventures, home improvement hosting, and showcasing his talents in season 35 of Dancing With the Stars.
With an upcoming wedding on the horizon and a baby girl on the way, Cameron and Madden are stepping into a new chapter of their lives, fueled by the love and memory of the family members who shaped them.
