BBC One and BBC iPlayer have officially announced the return of The Celebrity Traitors. Season two will premiere on October 1 at 8 p.m. Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, the hit reality game show features a fresh roster of 21 public figures competing for a cash prize of up to £100,000 for their chosen charities.
Following the massive success of the inaugural celebrity season, which ended with comedian Alan Carr taking home the victory, the upcoming ten-part series returns to Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands. Filming took place in May and June 2026, setting the stage for high-stakes psychological warfare and secret betrayals.

No Pre-Show Strategies Among Comedians
Several familiar faces are entering the castle together, including close friends Rob Beckett and Romesh Ranganathan, as well as multiple well-known comedians. This has led to speculation about pre-arranged alliances. However, Irish comedian Joanne McNally, currently touring her show Pinotphile, dismissed claims of any coordination.
“We haven’t been in cahoots at all. There’s been no chatting because we know that we’re more than willing to throw each other under the bus,” said Joanne McNally.
The presence of tightly knit professional circles is expected to create immediate dramatic tension. Suspicions will mount quickly over who is playing as a faithful and who is secretly operating as a traitor under the cover of darkness.
