Production for Season 3 of ABC’s hit procedural High Potential is underway. Star Daniel Sunjata is giving fans a fun look behind the scenes. Known for playing disciplined LAPD Detective Adam Karadec opposite Kaitlin Olson’s unconventional consultant Morgan Gillory, Sunjata posted a social media clip that shows a relaxed side to his character.
The Instagram video features Sunjata sitting in the front of a police car on set. He casually sings along to music between takes. This lighthearted moment highlights the actor’s off-screen personality and has sparked fan discussions about Karadec’s future when the show returns.
Fans React to Sunjata’s Behind-the-Scenes Clip
Viewers took to the comments section to imagine a laid-back Karadec in the show’s chaotic dynamic. The strict detective often serves as a straight man to Morgan Gillory’s eccentric investigative tactics, creating a popular comedic partnership.
Fans shared creative ideas for upcoming episodes. One commenter wrote, “Now we gotta see Morgan and Karadec jamming out to some music in the car!” Another chimed in, “We need a Karadec jam session after a tense scene!” Whether writers include a musical car moment remains to be seen, but the clip highlights the strong chemistry shared by the cast.
What Else to Expect in High Potential Season 3
Sunjata’s video is one of several updates from the set of High Potential Season 3. Sunjata also debuted a striking blonde hair look on social media. Fans are speculating whether the makeover points to an undercover assignment, a character arc following personal drama, or an off-season style choice.
The upcoming season addresses major cliffhangers from Season 2. Viewers are eager to learn the fate of Captain Nick Wagner, portrayed by Steve Howey, who was stabbed in a dark park during the finale. Additionally, mysteries regarding Morgan’s missing ex-boyfriend, Roman, and the fallout from Karadec sending his ex-fiancée Lucia to jail will drive the narrative forward.
Behind the scenes, the series is experiencing creative shifts. Showrunner and executive producer Todd Harthan is stepping away to pursue other Disney projects. New showrunners Nora and Lilla Zuckerman are taking his place. ABC has scheduled High Potential to return in early next year’s midseason block with a strategic release schedule designed to minimize interruptions.
As filming continues, fans can look forward to the return of core cast members. These include Javicia Leslie, Deniz Akdeniz, Matthew Lamb, and Judy Reyes alongside Olson and Sunjata. Until the show returns to ABC, these behind-the-scenes peeks offer excitement to keep the fandom guessing.
