Country music star Ella Langley abruptly canceled her scheduled concert at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, just hours before doors were set to open. She cited a serious security threat, making the last-minute decision to protect the safety of her fans, venue staff, and touring team following guidance from local law enforcement, venue officials, and her private security detail.

Langley shared the news via her Instagram Story to explain the gravity of the situation to her followers. Although specific details regarding the nature of the threat were not publicly disclosed, the “Choosin’ Texas” singer emphasized that protecting concertgoers was her absolute priority.
“Due to a serious security threat involving the safety of my fans, the venue staff, and my team, the incredibly difficult decision was made to cancel tonight’s show,” Langley wrote in her statement. “This decision was made under the advisement of local authorities, the venue, and my security team.”
The artist expressed deep regret to ticketholders who had traveled and prepared for the event. She noted the extensive time, planning, and financial investment required to attend live music performances. “I know how much time, travel, money, and planning goes into coming to a show, and I can’t tell you how sorry I am,” she continued. “This is not a decision that was made lightly. I was so looking forward to spending tonight with you, but your safety will always mean more to me than anything else. I refuse to put anyone in harm’s way.”
Tulsa Police Department and Venue Response
According to Tulsa Police Department Capt. Richard Meulenberg, authorities conducted multiple security sweeps of the BOK Center. They utilized bomb-sniffing dogs after receiving warnings regarding potential violence at the venue. While initial sweeps yielded no credible dangers, subsequent phone warnings prompted additional thorough investigations.
Captain Meulenberg clarified in a video statement that local law enforcement did not mandate the cancellation. After concluding that sweeps revealed no confirmed or credible threat, police informed Langley’s management and venue staff. They ultimately left the final decision to proceed up to the artist’s team.
The BOK Center management released a parallel statement confirming the cancellation. They assured fans that updates regarding full ticket refunds would be communicated as quickly as possible. The arena stated, “The safety and well-being of everyone involved is our absolute priority, and after careful consideration, we have determined that the show cannot proceed.”
Tour Status and Next Steps
The canceled Tulsa event was part of Langley’s ongoing Dandelion Tour, which launched in support of her sophomore studio album. The concert was slated to feature special guest performances by Kameron Marlowe and Laci Kaye Booth.
As of right now, neither Langley nor her management team have announced a rescheduled date for the Tulsa concert. However, the tour is expected to proceed as planned for subsequent stops, beginning with her scheduled performance at the United Supermarkets Arena in Lubbock, Texas. Fans holding tickets for the Tulsa event are advised to monitor official venue channels for direct instructions regarding automated or point-of-sale ticket refunds.
