Jeopardy! YouTube Edition Volume 2 Returns October 22

October 16, 2026 3 min read 0 comments

The popular quiz show franchise is heading back to the internet. Jeopardy! YouTube Edition is officially returning for a second installment on Thursday, October 22, at 9 p.m. Eastern time (6 p.m. Pacific). Following its initial debut in March, the upcoming special will stream exclusively on the official Jeopardy! YouTube channel, bringing a fresh wave of digital creators to the iconic lecterns.

Suzanne Prete, President of Game Shows at Sony Pictures Television, highlighted the strategic value of this digital experiment in an October 15 press release. “The success of our first edition of Jeopardy! YouTube Edition demonstrated the value of meeting audiences where they are while staying true to what makes Jeopardy! special,” Prete stated. “With Volume 2, we’re building on that momentum by partnering with an exciting group of creators who will bring fresh energy and perspectives.”

Meet the Contestants Competing in Volume 2

Unlike the inaugural special, which featured singer Rebecca Black, drag queen Monét X Change, and comedian Brennan Lee Mulligan (with Mulligan taking home the victory), Volume 2 introduces an entirely new roster of internet personalities. Each participant will test their knowledge to secure prize money for a charity of their choice, alongside a custom Jeopardy! YouTube plaque.

  • Angela Giarratana: A comedian, actress, and fan-favorite cast member of Smosh, competing for The Trevor Project.
  • Michelle Khare: Creator and host of the award-winning docuseries Challenge Accepted, competing for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
  • Josh Scherer: Widely known as Mythical Chef Josh, this culinary creator, New York Times bestselling author, and host of Last Meals is playing for Project Angel Food.

What to Expect From the Format

Fan-favorite host Ken Jennings will return to helm the digital special. The episode is specifically tailored for online consumption, offering a fast-paced runtime of approximately 20 minutes. It streamlines the traditional television format into a single round of clues, brief contestant interviews, and a decisive Final Jeopardy! question.

The questions and categories will lean heavily into internet culture, platform history, and digital trends, mirroring the approach taken in the March pilot. Custom video clues delivered by notable digital creators will also pepper the board.

How and Where to Watch

The exclusive special premieres live on October 22 at 9 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. PT via the official Jeopardy! YouTube channel. Viewers who miss the initial broadcast can stream the episode afterward on demand. Producers have confirmed that while the main television series continues its standard syndication and streaming rollout, the YouTube Edition remains exclusive to the Google-owned video platform.

Sony Pictures Television recently locked in long-term renewals for the flagship television series, securing Seasons 43 and 44 with Jennings remaining behind the iconic host podium. This digital expansion underscores a broader push to capture younger demographics who consume content primarily online.
