Television personality Kelsey Parker appeared on ITV’s Good Morning Britain on September 28, 2026. She was joined by her newborn daughter, River, to discuss the child’s arrival following the tragic loss of her baby son, Phoenix.
The 35-year-old previously announced on Instagram on September 20 that she had given birth to River. River is her child with partner Will Lindsay. During the broadcast, Parker spoke with hosts Susanna Reid and Ed Balls about her pregnancy journey after her previous traumatic experience.
Last year, Parker experienced an unexpected home birth where her son Phoenix was born sleeping. Arriving paramedics called the police, and Parker was permitted to hold her infant son for only nine minutes before authorities removed him from her care.
Reflecting on Grief and Hope
Parker shared that navigating a new pregnancy after a stillbirth brought complex emotions. She previously noted that the experience did not feel like an end to grief. Instead, it felt like carrying two enormous things at once.
The arrival of River has brought a renewed sense of hope to the family. This includes Parker’s older children, Aurelia Rose and Bodhi, whom she shared with her late husband, The Wanted singer Tom Parker. Tom Parker passed away in 2022 at the age of 33 following a battle with terminal brain cancer.

Following the public discussion of the home birth incident, the Metropolitan Police issued an apology to Parker and Lindsay. The police acknowledged that referring to the address as a crime scene was inappropriate and that the family should have been treated with greater sensitivity.
As Parker settles into life with her newborn, she continues to advocate for open conversations. She focuses on baby loss, grief, and the journey of finding hope after devastating heartbreak.
