Lee Andrews has broken his silence following his release from Al-Awir jail in Dubai earlier this week. He addressed his detention, his dramatic physical transformation, and his future plans as his high-profile marriage to Katie Price remains entirely unresolved.
The 43-year-old self-proclaimed businessman took to Instagram on October 7 to make his first public appearance since regaining his freedom. Showing off a freshly shaven buzz cut, Andrews described the facility as “the most notorious prison in Dubai” and offered candid details about the conditions that led to his drastic haircut.
Addressing the Dubai Jail Ordeal and Shaved Head
Speaking directly to his followers on social media, Andrews explained the reasoning behind his completely bald look. He stated that he had no wig or hair system and anticipated that his hair would grow back naturally in time.
“Right, I haven’t made a public appearance yet, so here we are,” Andrews said in his video update. “They got me good, look. I had to shave it cos obviously I’m freshly out of jail aka the most notorious prison in Dubai.”
He added cryptically regarding his release and future movements: “I’m out of jail now just got to get out the country. I can’t whistleblow from here but I will be doing eventually. I need to say something about the terrible ordeal I was in and in order to get to the person I needed to get to to get out, I needed to shave my head to get past it, so there it is, sporting it again – it’ll grow back.”
Andrews was initially detained in Al Awir prison in mid-May before an initial release, only to be sent back behind bars in July, where he remained until his recent discharge.
Silence on Katie Price Split Amid Financial Revelations
While Andrews focused heavily on his prison experience and his immediate plans to exit the United Arab Emirates, he did not directly address the breakdown of his eight-month marriage to reality television personality Katie Price.
Price, 48, officially ended their relationship via WhatsApp last month. The former glamour model later opened up on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, admitting that she felt humiliated and believed Andrews had “scammed her heart” by fabricating a lifestyle of immense wealth. The final straw in the relationship came to light when Price discovered a cryptocurrency account that Andrews claimed held £37 million actually contained just £2.20.
Following the split, Price removed Andrews from her Instagram bio and consulted a divorce lawyer. Meanwhile, Andrews has updated his own social media profile to brand himself “Britain’s Bad Boy,” unfollowed most accounts while keeping Price on his radar, and reactivated his Cameo profile to offer personalized video messages to fans.
What Lies Ahead
Having spent over two months locked up in civil detention, Andrews insists his immediate priority is securing his departure from Dubai. Whether he will face further legal hurdles or successfully leave the jurisdiction remains to be seen, as public interest surrounding his tumultuous personal life and financial claims continues to mount.
