Thai musical duo MANG x DAOU won the national selection contest on Sunday, September 27. This victory secures their position to represent host nation Thailand at the inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia with their Thai-language song “Aroma” (Glinratree).
The winning duo consists of solo artist Piyatida Lekklang (MANG) and LazIcon winner Pittaya Saechua (DAOU). They emerged victorious during a live broadcast hosted by Thai television broadcaster Channel 3. Ten acts representing various musical genres participated in the selection show, which was streamed internationally on the official Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel.
Voting Breakdown and Top Three
A combination of three distinct voting blocs determined the final outcome of the selection. A professional jury and domestic viewers in Thailand each held a 40 percent weight in the final score. An international Rest of the World vote contributed the remaining 20 percent.
MANG x DAOU reached the top three alongside competing artists D Gerrard and GAM WICHAYANEE before being announced as the winners of the national final.
Meet the Artists
MANG is the first female solo artist from LIT Entertainment. She is recognized for her powerful vocals and T-pop-fused Thai flair. She joins DAOU, a singer, actor, MC, and the first-place winner of LazIcon. United by the same goal, the two artists combined their unique artistry and dynamic energy for the upcoming international contest.
The inaugural Eurovision Song Contest Asia is scheduled to take place on Saturday, November 14, live from the One Bangkok Forum. Fans who missed the live broadcast can catch up on the show via the Eurovision Song Contest YouTube channel. All national selection shows for Eurovision Asia are archived there.
