Author Harlan Coben has achieved a major streaming milestone on Netflix. His hit thriller adaptation, I Will Find You, has pulled in 120.8 million completed views, landing the number five spot on the platform’s all-time most-watched English-language television series list.
The six-episode series debuted on June 18 and immediately captured audiences. It generated 24 million views within its first four days before climbing past 63 million views by the end of June. The strong viewership performance pushed Wednesday: Season 2 down to the sixth position on the streaming giant’s historic leaderboard.
Created by Robert Hull and starring Sam Worthington, I Will Find You stands out as the first project in Coben’s ongoing partnership with Netflix to be set in the United States, breaking away from his previous European-set adaptations.
Building directly on this massive momentum, Netflix has ordered a multi-season adaptation of Coben’s popular Myron Bolitar book series. Acclaimed showrunner David E. Kelley will helm the project.
The upcoming series will adapt Coben’s 1996 novel Drop Shot. Actor Colin Woodell has been cast as the lead character, a former basketball player turned sports agent who finds himself investigating a murder tied to the United States.
With I Will Find You still drawing viewers worldwide and a fresh franchise expansion underway, Coben’s storytelling footprint on Netflix continues to grow stronger than ever.
