Singer Nicole Scherzinger has shared a candid look at the painful reality behind her glamorous stage presence. She revealed photos of the healing burns on her leg following a backstage accident that occurred just before a September 26 performance in Düsseldorf, Germany, during the PCD Forever tour.

The 48-year-old artist posted an update on Instagram featuring six photos. These images contrasted polished selfies with graphic views of the burns and blisters on her leg. By sharing the pictures, Scherzinger highlighted what she manages away from the spotlight while continuing her rigorous concert schedule alongside bandmates Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt.

The Boiling Water Accident in Düsseldorf

The injury took place roughly one hour before Scherzinger was scheduled to take the stage in Düsseldorf. According to the singer, boiling water accidentally spilled directly onto her leg, causing immediate pain and severe skin damage.

Despite the medical setback, Scherzinger chose not to cancel the concert. She performed the entire set as planned, later acknowledging the incident on social media. She wrote, “Nothing like boiling water falling on your leg an hour before your set. But the show must go on.” She also expressed gratitude to the Düsseldorf audience for their energy and support during the difficult performance.

Sharing the Aftermath on Instagram

On October 6, Scherzinger provided fans with a deeper look into her recovery process. Her Instagram post featured a caption that summarized the dual nature of life on tour:

“What they see vs. what they don’t see…”

The post included three photos highlighting the peeling skin, blisters, and healing burns. These were shown alongside three polished shots of her backstage and onstage appearance. Followers and fans flooded the comments with well-wishes and praise for her resilience.

Continuing the PCD Forever Tour

The accident happened during the highly anticipated PCD Forever tour, which marks a major return for the group nearly two decades after their original debut. Traveling across Europe with Ashley Roberts and Kimberly Wyatt, Scherzinger has maintained a demanding performance schedule.

Speaking about the milestone reunion tour prior to the European dates, Scherzinger told PEOPLE, “It’s incredible. I believe it might have been our first time performing (in) 2006, and it’s crazy that the time flies so much to think that it’s 20 years later.”

The international leg of the tour continues through October, with performances leading up to the final scheduled show in São Paulo, Brazil, on October 30. Despite her recent injury, Scherzinger remains committed to finishing the tour strong.
