Model and influencer Olivia Culpo and her husband, San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey, have expanded their family. The couple welcomed their second child, a baby boy named Roman Augustus McCaffrey, on September 29, 2026. This happy news arrives just over a year after the birth of their first child, daughter Colette, in July 2025.
Culpo, 34, used Instagram on Saturday, October 10, to share the newborn’s name and birth date with her followers. Her announcement post featured professional family photos capturing tender moments with their new son, a pre-birth snapshot of Culpo preparing for her C-section alongside McCaffrey, and pictures of big sister Colette meeting her baby brother.
The swift arrival of baby Roman surprised the couple. In a TikTok video shared in May, Culpo revealed she discovered she was four weeks pregnant when Colette was only six months old. Although she did not initially plan to expand their family so rapidly, she expressed immense gratitude for the blessing.
“I did not think that this was going to happen the way that it did,” Culpo shared on TikTok in May. “I am so fortunate to be able to bring another child into the world. Few things that have been running through my mind, ’cause I just really didn’t plan on this at all… Well, I hope that this baby is healthy.”
Culpo also noted she navigated the pregnancy while still recovering from her previous C-section, acknowledging early concerns about the close timing. With the arrival of Roman Augustus, the family of three became a family of four, giving them two children under the age of two.
Balancing Parenthood and the NFL Season
The timing of the birth required careful coordination because McCaffrey was immersed in training camp and the NFL season with the San Francisco 49ers. To ensure he could be present, Culpo scheduled her C-section delivery on an off day for the star running back.
Despite his demanding athletic schedule, McCaffrey has spoken about the joy he finds in fatherhood. Speaking with Us Magazine earlier in the year, the three-time All-Pro athlete reflected on how parenthood shifted his perspective.
“Good day or bad day, you come home and seeing her smile takes all the pressure off. It takes all the worries of life away,” McCaffrey said regarding life with Colette. “It’s been the biggest blessing in our life. Watching Olivia become a mom has been so cool.”

Culpo and McCaffrey married in June 2024 during a romantic ceremony in Rhode Island after five years of dating. Since welcoming Colette in July 2025, the pair have shared glimpses of their domestic life, blending modeling and professional football careers with hands-on parenting.
