Phyna Knocks Out Nkechi Blessing at Chaos in the Ring Boxing

In the headline-grabbing female encounter, reality television star Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, made history by knocking out actress Nkechi Blessing in the fourth round. The bout, scheduled for four rounds, saw both celebrities trade punches before Phyna executed her tactical game plan.

Speaking after her historic victory, the former Big Brother Naija winner explained that her strategy was to let her opponent tire out during the initial rounds. Her calculated approach paid off when she landed a decisive blow in the final round, sending Blessing flat onto the canvas and leaving her unable to beat the referee’s count.

Phyna Claims ₦50 Million Prize and Calls Out Etinosa

For her dominant performance and historic win as Nigeria’s first female celebrity boxing victor, Phyna was awarded a ceremonial ₦50 million cheque, alongside a brand-new electric vehicle and a championship belt.

The excitement did not end inside the ropes. Immediately after securing her victory, Phyna used her post-fight interview to call out Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia, accusing her of persistent direct message confrontations and challenging her to a future fight. Etinosa, who watched the bout closely from ringside, accepted the challenge without hesitation, telling the crowd that Edo natives do not back down from fights.

Meanwhile, Nkechi Blessing took to Instagram to share her thoughts following the defeat. Despite being counted out, she maintained a defiant stance, writing, “Still a CHAMPION regardless of the result… even the blind knows who the winner is.” She also credited her coach for a swift preparation period, noting that she intends to return to acting.
