Police Shelve Wright Keegan Mansion Burglary Probe

Police have officially shelved the investigation into a high-profile burglary at the £3.5 million Ess*x mansion belonging to television personalities Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan. Authorities confirmed that the active inquiry is on hold after extensive forensic analysis and CCTV reviews failed to identify the suspects.

The attempted break-in occurred on February 17, 2025. Four masked raiders forced entry into the couple’s property while Michelle Keegan was heavily pregnant. Hearing a patio window smash, Mark Wright locked himself and his wife inside a safe room and shouted out, prompting the intruders to flee empty-handed.

Despite a rapid response by law enforcement-officers arrived within eight minutes of the security system triggering an alert-the perpetrators escaped before police could intercept them. Ess*x Police launched a comprehensive investigation that included neighborhood canvassing, witness interviews, CCTV assessments, and intensive forensic evidence gathering.

An Ess*x Police spokesperson addressed the conclusion of the active phase, stating that every possible avenue had been explored. “This decision was taken following extensive enquiries including area searches, witness interviews, gathering forensic evidence and CCTV assessment,” the spokesperson explained. Officers also ensured that the victims were safeguarded throughout the ordeal.

Authorities noted that while active work has concluded due to a lack of viable leads or identified suspects, the file remains open. If any new intelligence, forensic matches, or further information comes to light regarding the February 2025 break-in, investigators are fully prepared to reopen enquiries.

The distressing security breach occurred just weeks before the couple welcomed their first child, daughter Palma, in March 2025. Neither Wright nor Keegan have issued a fresh public statement regarding the closure of the police investigation, having previously focused on their privacy and family.
