Rare James Bond Omega Watches Head to Auction at Propstore

Two rare James Bond Omega timepieces have headed to auction at Propstore as part of a major online entertainment memorabilia sale. The high-profile offering highlights cinematic history with a promotional wristwatch linked to Pierce Brosnan’s 1997 film Tomorrow Never Dies, alongside a personalized commemorative model for collectors.

The standout item in the watch selection is an Omega Seamaster Diver 300M identical to the model worn by Pierce Brosnan during his tenure as 007. Propstore estimated the sale price for this specific piece between £5,000 and £10,000, with initial bids opening at £4,000.

The Provenance of the Tomorrow Never Dies Prop Watch

Although this particular watch lacks an internal movement and the fictional remote detonator featured on screen-which a Chinese spy used to trigger a hand grenade in the film-it carries distinct promotional provenance.

Prior to the theatrical release of Tomorrow Never Dies, Jaeger’s flagship store on Regent Street displayed the timepiece during a high-profile publicity event. Jaeger had supplied the wardrobe for M, played by Judi Dench, in the film. Following the conclusion of the promotional event, the store gifted the watch to an employee in 2003.

The stainless steel prop features a blue face, a metal band, a screw-in crown, and a helium escape valve. The Seamaster logo is engraved on the back, while “Omega Seamaster Professional” is etched onto the clasp, accompanied by the serial number 1503/825 and an attached tag reading “67.”

Additional Highlights at the Propstore Auction

Accompanying the Tomorrow Never Dies promotional piece is a second major timepiece: a limited-edition Omega Seamaster Co-Axial 300M James Bond 007 50th Anniversary edition. Propstore assigned this commemorative piece an estimated auction value ranging from £8,000 to £16,000, with initial bids starting at £6,000.

Swiss manufacturer Omega has remained the exclusive watch brand worn by James Bond since the release of GoldenEye in 1995. The Seamaster quickly became the definitive choice for agent 007, maintaining its status through the end of Brosnan’s career and into subsequent eras of the franchise.

The multi-week Propstore entertainment memorabilia auction continues to draw intense interest from international collectors, cementing the enduring legacy of James Bond props in the global luxury timepiece market.
