Former reality television star and fan favorite Tyler Cameron recently addressed his famous, confrontational rose ceremony moment from Season 15 of The Bachelorette. While competing on Season 35 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars with partner Sharna Burgess, Cameron revisited the viral clip during a TikTok live session, explaining the backstory for his dance partner and fans.
The Origins of the Viral ‘Or What?’ Moment
The interaction re-emerged online following a sequence from July 22, 2019. During that episode, eliminated contestant Luke Parker crashed a final four rose ceremony with an engagement ring, disrupting star Hannah Brown after she had sent him home.
The dispute between Brown and Parker escalated during their Fantasy Suites date. Parker confronted Brown about her s*xual history, stating he could not move forward if she had been intimate with other suitors. Brown clarified her stance regarding their fundamental mismatch in values.
“The closest thing I’ve ever felt to love at first sight was probably with you… To have you say this about me, and make me feel like you would look at me any differently, and judge me, or make me feel like you would not think of me as a woman of faith, like I am, and that we weren’t on the same page? […] I feel like I’ve finally gotten clarity on you, and I do not want you to be my husband,” Hannah Brown stated during the exchange.
Tyler Cameron Steps In to Defend Hannah Brown
Unaware that Parker had been eliminated, remaining final contestants Tyler Cameron, Peter Weber, and Jed Wyatt stood by at the final four rose ceremony. When Parker refused to leave after being questioned by Brown, the men intervened.
As Jed Wyatt and Tyler Cameron walked over to confront Parker, Wyatt placed a hand on Parker’s chest. Parker reacted by warning them to remove their hands. This prompted Cameron to deliver his quoted response: “Or what?”
After Cameron confirmed with Brown that Parker had been sent home, Cameron told Parker, “Alright, then let’s go.” Host Chris Harrison intervened, and Parker exited. The confrontation cemented Cameron’s status as a fan-favorite figure in Bachelor Nation history.
Bringing the Past Into the Present on Dancing with the Stars
Years after placing as the runner-up on Hannah Brown’s season-and later placing second on Fox’s reality dance competition series The Real Dirty Dancing-Cameron is bringing his charisma to the Dancing with the Stars ballroom.
While rehearsing with professional dancer Sharna Burgess, the resurfacing of his 2019 stance has proven that Bachelor Nation’s fascination with the event remains strong. Whether learning technical ballroom routines or explaining internet lore to a new audience, Cameron continues to balance his reality television legacy with new career chapters.
