Wizards of the Coast officially announced the upcoming release of its Magic: The Gathering Corn Maze Secret Lair Superdrop, scheduled to launch on October 12, 2026. The seasonal collection incorporates eight distinct drops highlighting major pop culture and entertainment franchises, including Jim Henson’s Labyrinth, KPop Demon Hunters, and Marvel Zombies.
The Corn Maze Superdrop will be available exclusively through the Secret Lair Marketplace starting at 9 a.m. PT. Pre-orders open directly to consumers, with individual sets priced at $29.99 for non-foil editions and $39.99 for traditional foil editions. To incentivize collectors, Wizards of the Coast confirmed that customers spending $199 or more will receive a special promo card featuring a foil Maze of Ith styled as “The Labyrinth,” available while supplies last.
Jim Henson’s Labyrinth Leads the Superdrop Lineup
Highlighting the release are three separate Labyrinth-themed drops that bring iconic characters and scenes from the 1986 fantasy film to the tabletop. The collection is spearheaded by “Fear Me, Love Me,” a set focusing on Goblin kindred cards. It features Muxus, Goblin Grandee depicted as Jareth, the Goblin King, complete with new artwork of David Bowie.
Additional Labyrinth drops include “Should You Need Us” and “Through the Labyrinth.” These sets feature altered artwork and thematic titles for popular cards, including Jodah, the Unifier as “Sarah, Champion to the Lost,” Lu Xun, Scholar General as a reversible Sir Didymus card, Leveler as “The Cleaners,” and Thran Temporal Gateway as “Doors of Indecision.”
Crossover Collections and Fan Favorites
Beyond the Jim Henson collaboration, the Corn Maze Superdrop branches into other major universes. The KPop Demon Hunters drop, titled “How It’s Done,” brings high-utility spells and combo potential with cards like Freed from the Real and Underworld Breach. Meanwhile, the Marvel Zombies collection caters to kindred enthusiasts by re-skinning powerful creatures into undead versions of iconic comic heroes, such as God-Eternal Bontu as “Zombie Thor” and Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver as “Zombie Captain America.”
Rounding out the eight-part superdrop are several artistic and functional sets:
- Artist Series: Veronique Meignaud: Highlighting powerful mono-black staples with striking new visuals.
- Manufactured Grounds by See Machine: Offering stylized, fresh artwork on classic artifact land cycles.
- Peace, Love, & Treefolk: Delivering a vibrant set centered around Ashley Dreyfus’s take on Treefolk creatures, including a reprint of Timber Protector.
How to Purchase and Queue Guidelines
Wizards of the Coast has outlined specific procedures for purchasing items from the Secret Lair Marketplace to manage heavy web traffic:
- Create a Wizards Account: Players are encouraged to save their shipping and payment information in advance at the official registration portal for a faster checkout experience.
- Pre-Queue Access: The pre-queue officially opens at 8 a.m. PT, exactly one hour before the sale goes live at 9 a.m. PT. Customers can enter the pre-queue by adding any available product to their cart and proceeding to checkout.
- Queue Placement: When the sale begins at 9 a.m. PT, users already waiting in the pre-queue will be assigned a randomized spot in line. Anyone joining after 9 a.m. PT will enter the queue sequentially.
- Inventory Notice: Adding products to a shopping cart does not reserve them; items are only officially secured once the checkout process is fully completed.
Orders over $99 will qualify for free shipping. Collectors looking to acquire the complete set can also purchase full-foil or non-foil mega bundles when the Corn Maze Superdrop goes live on October 12, 2026.
