Professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, globally recognized by his ring names PAC and Neville, has died at the age of 40. Satterley passed away on September 27, 2026, in Illinois, just hours after competing at the All Elite Wrestling (AEW) National Championship event, All Out.
According to the Des Plaines Police Department, there were no signs of foul play, and the circumstances surrounding his death are not considered suspicious. The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an investigation to determine the official cause of death.
AEW and Wrestling World Mourn the Loss
All Elite Wrestling formally announced Satterley’s passing in a statement released late Sunday, honoring him as a trailblazing athlete who won over fans worldwide with his signature high-flying maneuvers and extraordinary in-ring abilities.
"All Elite Wrestling is saddened to announce the passing of Benjamin Satterley, aka Pac. A native of Newcastle upon Tyne, England, Satterley began his wrestling career in 2004 and went on to perform for wrestling organizations all over the world, captivating fans with innovative high-flying moves and incredible in-ring ability," AEW’s statement read.
AEW President Tony Khan also shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, emphasizing Satterley’s profound dedication to the sport. "Benjamin Satterley defined excellence, as a beloved husband & friend to his many loved ones, + in his wrestling knowledge, skill, unprecedented athleticism, professionalism, consistency + dedication to the sport that he loved & traveled the world to pursue," Khan wrote.
A Storied Career Across Global Promotions
Born in Newcastle, England, on August 22, 1986, Satterley entered the British independent wrestling scene in 2004. His dynamic aerial style quickly earned him international acclaim, leading to prominent stints with Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), and Japanese promotion Dragongate.
In 2012, Satterley signed with WWE and was assigned to the NXT developmental brand under the name Adrian Neville. He achieved major success in NXT, capturing the tag team titles twice and holding the NXT Championship. After moving to WWE’s main roster in 2015 as simply Neville, he established himself as the "King of the Cruiserweights," securing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship twice before departing the company in 2018 due to creative differences.
Satterley joined AEW upon its launch in 2019, immediately establishing himself as a top-tier competitor. During his tenure with the promotion, he held multiple championships, including the inaugural AEW International Championship (then called the All-Atlantic Championship) and the AEW Trios Championship as a member of the Death Triangle and later the Death Riders faction alongside Jon Moxley and other prominent stars.
