The social media disclosures arrive as tensions escalate between the former couple, with Diamond directly challenging public defenses of the singer’s parenting.
Private Text Messages Revealed Amid Custody Dispute
The disclosures follow public comments from Nia Guzman, Ammika Harris, and Jada Wallace praising the musician’s involvement with his children. In response to these supportive statements, Diamond shared screenshots of text message exchanges on social media to counter claims about the singer’s active presence in Lovely’s life.
According to court filings obtained by TMZ from an October 1 declaration, Diamond stated that the recording artist had not requested to see their daughter in six to seven months. This timeline directly contradicts statements made by the artist earlier in the week alleging that he was prevented from spending time with his child.
One of the screenshots posted by Diamond featured an Instagram story where she criticized the singer for contacting her without asking about their child. “You can text me bulls*it but can’t ask how our daughter is doing. That’s why you got blocked immediately after those messages came through. IG DAD,” she wrote.
Details of the Disputed Conversations
Additional screenshots outlined an alleged conversation from February 18, in which Diamond told Brown that she believed he had crossed personal boundaries and was overstepping. She reminded him that they had not been together for almost two years and that their sole relationship was as co-parents.
“You do not control me, and you do not get a say in my personal relationships. We are not together and haven’t been for almost two years. You have your own life and responsibilities, including a baby on the way. Focus on that,” she wrote in the text.
According to the screenshots, Brown responded on March 26, suggesting that despite her negative feelings toward him, he would remain available when needed. Diamond subsequently added commentary over the screenshot accusing the singer of damaging a previous romantic relationship and making her life difficult.
Legal Filings and Financial Demands
The custody dispute originated from an April 3 filing in which Diamond asked a Los Angeles court to grant her sole legal and physical custody of Lovely, while offering visitation rights to Brown. In response, Brown opposed the request for sole custody and asked the court for joint legal and physical custody.
Court documents also revealed that Diamond is seeking at least $30,000 per month in child support, stating that an earlier agreed-upon sum of $7,000 was inadequate and regularly subjected to deductions. Additionally, she is asking for $350,000 in attorney and accounting fees associated with the ongoing legal proceedings.
