Carson Daly stepped out for a rare family red carpet appearance on October 8. He attended the Project Healthy Minds Gala in New York City alongside his wife, Siri Pinter, and three of their four children. The mental health tech non-profit hosted the high-profile event ahead of World Mental Health Day on October 10.

The TODAY and The Voice co-host serves on the board of directors for Project Healthy Minds. He was joined by his children Jackson, 17; Etta, 14; and London, 12. Their youngest child, 6-year-old Goldie, did not attend. For the outing, Jackson wore a classic black tuxedo, while Etta and London both wore elegant black dresses.

Supporting Mental Health Care Access

Project Healthy Minds is a next-generation mental health tech non-profit. It works to close the treatment gap and eliminate barriers to support, such as stigma, discoverability, and affordability. Leading up to the event, Daly discussed the organization’s mission to streamline how people find professional care.

“We’re trying to make [it] as easy as it is to book a hotel reservation… a dinner reservation… to get mental health services connected to people,” Daly shared during a segment on TODAY.

TODAY co-host Craig Melvin praised Daly’s long-standing dedication to breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health. Daly has previously been open about his own experiences with generalized anxiety disorder, including detailing past panic attacks while preparing to host Total Request Live.

About the Gala and Festival

The annual gala at Spring Studios serves as a major fundraiser for the non-profit’s digital initiatives. These programs aim to connect millions of Americans with mental health services over the coming decade. The evening featured prominent changemakers, awards presentations, and a special musical performance by Grammy-nominated artist Lukas Graham.

The gala directly preceded the organization’s fourth annual World Mental Health Day Festival in New York City’s Meatpacking District. The free public festival featured mainstage panels, wellness activities with lululemon and Equinox, and discussions led by public figures, authors, and advocates. Notable speakers included Dr. Deepak Chopra, social psychologist Jonathan Haidt, and journalist Katie Couric.
