Stanley Tucci Praises Priyanka Chopra Ahead of Masterplan Release

Hollywood veteran Stanley Tucci has praised his Citadel co-star Priyanka Chopra, describing her as “amazing” and expressing a deep fondness for working with her. This praise comes as Tucci promotes his upcoming Prime Video heist film, Masterplan, scheduled to premiere on October 16.

In an interview published on October 9, 2026, Tucci reflected warmly on his professional association with the global star. The two actors previously shared the screen in Prime Video’s spy thriller series Citadel, where Tucci portrayed technology expert Bernard Orlick and Chopra starred as elite agent Nadia alongside co-star Richard Madden.

“I loved it (experience working with Priyanka Chopra). She is amazing. I really love working with her,” Tucci shared. Chopra’s continued evolution across international film and television projects has consistently garnered praise from her industry colleagues.

Transitioning to Prime Video’s Masterplan

Following Citadel, which returned for its second season in May 2026, Tucci is reuniting with Prime Video for a different genre. Directed by Thomas Vincent, Masterplan features Tucci as a retired thief who plots to steal the Mona Lisa painting with the help of two young strangers.

The film’s supporting cast includes Simona Tabasco and Victor Belmondo. The project highlights Tucci’s ongoing collaboration with the streaming platform following his dramatic turns in international espionage.

Reflecting on Career Milestones

Given the thematic title of his new movie, interviewers asked Tucci if he had ever devised a strict master plan to break into Hollywood and build his career. The veteran actor offered an introspective look at the unpredictability of the entertainment business.

“Well, you have an idea of what you might do. And some of those ideas have, you know, come to fruition. Some of them I’ve achieved and others I haven’t and probably never will. But there are reasons for that. And, you know, as I say, everything happens for a reason. Sometimes things don’t happen for a reason,” Tucci emphasized.

With Masterplan set to debut on October 16, audiences will soon see Tucci step into a witty, calculated role that contrasts with his tech-savvy spy persona in Citadel, further expanding his versatile cinematic footprint.
