Marvel Comics has officially announced an expansive slate of four new Spider-Man projects scheduled to launch throughout 2027. Revealed during “The Spider-Web” panel at New York Comic Con on October 10, the upcoming lineup introduces fresh solo series, experimental anthology storytelling, and a major crossover event that threatens the core relationship between Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
The 2027 publishing initiative is designed to introduce new adversaries, explore darker corners of the Spider-Verse, and experiment with traditional comic-book storytelling techniques. The rollout begins in January 2027 and stretches into the spring with high-stakes narratives across multiple titles.
New Solo Series and Anthology Projects Lead 2027 Lineup
The 2027 expansion kicks off with several standalone and limited series featuring fan-favorite iterations of the wall-crawler:
- Marvel SFX: Thwip! #1: Launching in January 2027, this five-issue anthology series celebrates iconic comic sound effects. The first issue is written by Jed MacKay, Stephen Graham Jones, and Rainbow Rowell, with art by Lucas Werneck and Alessandro Cappuccio.
- Spider-Punk: Debuting in January 2027, Hobie Brown gets a brand-new ongoing series written by Cody Ziglar and illustrated by Justin Mason. The storyline follows Hobie to Los Angeles as he investigates the disappearance of the Spider-Band while facing off against a newly teamed-up Mz. Negative and Scorpion.
- Spider-Man: Noir: Arriving in February 2027, the hardboiled hero returns in a new series written by Alex Segura and illustrated by Farid Karami, featuring a deadly new femme fatale threatening Peter Parker’s world.
Crisis of Faith Crossover Tests Peter and Miles in April 2027
The centerpiece of the 2027 announcement is Crisis of Faith, an upcoming crossover event between Amazing Spider-Man and Miles Morales: Spider-Man. Scheduled to kick off in April 2027, the storyline will be written by regular series writers Joe Kelly and Bryan Edward Hill.
According to Marvel’s announcements, the crossover will directly challenge the longstanding trust between Peter Parker and Miles Morales. The tension arises as Peter’s increasingly dangerous decisions come under intense scrutiny, while Miles’ recent associations create additional friction between the two heroes.
Additional details regarding the 2027 publishing slate are expected to be released by Marvel Comics as the launch dates approach.
