Prince Harry and Meghan Visit Nottingham Charities Together

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan reunited for their first joint public engagement in the United Kingdom since returning to the country in late August. They visited three community organizations in Nottingham on October 15, 2026. This visit brought the couple back to a city closely associated with their first joint public appearance after announcing their engagement in December 2017.

The Duke and Duchess of Suss*x visited the Community Recording Studio, Himmah Hub, and Epic Partners. These organizations support young people and local communities through youth activities, food poverty initiatives, mentoring, and sports programs.

A Special Return to Nottingham

The couple arrived to cheers from a crowd of about 100 people outside the Community Recording Studio (CRS) in St Ann’s at around 10:35 a.m. Upon stepping out of their vehicle, Meghan told the gathering, “It’s great to be back.”

The Duke and Duchess operate as private citizens rather than working members of the royal family. However, their itinerary mirrored the community-focused engagements they conducted before stepping back in 2020. Nottingham holds deep sentimental value for the couple, as it was the location of their first official royal walkabout on December 1, 2017.

Supporting Youth and Creative Opportunities

The Community Recording Studio, established in 1991, provides young people access to film, video, and music production equipment and training. Originally created to break down barriers in an expensive industry, CRS now combines creative activities with sports, mentoring, and youth development to combat poverty, instability, exploitation, and violence.

Prince Harry’s relationship with St Ann’s organizations dates back to 2013, which inspired the Royal Foundation’s Full Effect program. During a visit in September 2025, Harry announced £1.1 million in funding through BBC Children in Need to support work involving CRS and Epic Partners.

Epic Partners, another stop on the itinerary, delivers inclusive sports, youth, and mentoring programs. These programs help children and young people facing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and social exclusion build confidence and life skills.

Reconnecting with the Hubb Community Kitchen

Following their stop at the recording studio, Harry and Meghan visited Himmah Hub, a food poverty community action group in Nottingham. There, the Duchess experienced an emotional reunion with women from the Hubb Community Kitchen, who previously cooked for survivors of the 2017 Grenfell Tower fire.

Meghan previously championed the group by producing Together: Our Community Cookbook, which raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to extend kitchen hours and fund community projects. In 2021, cookbook proceeds directed £10,000 to Himmah to support its food bank and equipment.

Asked by the BBC how special the day had been, Prince Harry replied, “It’s great to be back. Wonderful and great to be back in Nottingham too.” Meghan added that meeting with the women from the Hubb community was “really, really meaningful.”

Security and UK Reintegration

The couple’s joint appearance follows their relocation back to the UK in late August alongside their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Their public outing in Nottingham signaled comfort with current security assessments as the Duke continues discussions regarding his security status with RAVEC.

By shining a spotlight on grassroots organizations, Harry and Meghan demonstrated their ongoing commitment to charitable causes and long-standing community relationships across Britain.
