The Terminal List Season 2 Release Date on Prime Video

October 16, 2026 3 min read 0 comments

Navy SEAL Commander James Reece is officially heading back to the screen as Prime Video sets the release date for The Terminal List Season 2. Led by star and executive producer Chris Pratt, the action thriller returns with all eight episodes dropping simultaneously on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

Following the gritty, psychological revenge narrative of the first season, Season 2 broadens its scope significantly. The upcoming episodes adapt True Believer, the second best-selling novel in author Jack Carr’s popular book series. Rather than focusing solely on personal retribution, the new chapter shifts into a sweeping, globe-trotting international espionage thriller.

What to Expect from The Terminal List Season 2 Plot

After checking off every name on his target list in Season 1, James Reece searches for a new sense of purpose and redemption. However, his quest is cut short when an attack in London draws him back into the dangerous world of covert operations.

Cornered by the CIA, Reece receives a full pardon under one condition: he must hunt down a former friend and ally turned enemy, Mohammed “Mo” Farooq (Dar Salim). Farooq, a former Iraqi Special Operations Forces officer previously featured in the spin-off series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, faces accusations of orchestrating attacks using elite combat skills learned from the CIA’s Scorpions training program-techniques taught to him by Reece himself.

This mission pushes Reece across an expansive international map, taking viewers through the Indian Ocean, Southern and Northern Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. The unfolding conspiracy stretches from Moscow to Langley and digs deep into Reece’s own family history.

An Expanded Global Cast

Alongside Chris Pratt, several familiar faces from the franchise return for the sophomore season. The confirmed returning cast includes:

  • Tom Hopper as Raife Hastings
  • Constance Wu as Katie Buranek
  • Dar Salim as Mohammed Farooq
  • Luke Hemsworth as Jules Landry

Season 2 also introduces a massive lineup of new talent to match its international scale. Gabriel Luna joins the cast as Freddy Strain, a former SEAL Team 6 Senior Chief and current CIA Ground Branch officer who tracks down a hiding Reece. Additional new cast members include Costa Ronin, Olga Kurylenko, Yul Vazquez, Martin Sensmeier, Arnold Vosloo, Jeremy Bobb, and Shiraz Tzarfati.

Production and Creative Team

Filming for the eight-episode second season wrapped in March 2026, with production utilizing diverse locations spanning South Africa, Morocco, and North America. David DiGilio returns as the series writer, executive producer, and showrunner.

The production is backed by a powerhouse creative team, including Chris Pratt via Indivisible Productions, Antoine Fuqua and Kat Samick through Hill District Media, author Jack Carr, former Army Ranger Max Adams, and former Navy SEAL Jared Shaw. The series is a co-production between Amazon MGM Studios and Civic Center Media, in association with MRC.

Fans looking to catch up on the entire universe can stream the first season and the prequel series The Terminal List: Dark Wolf on Prime Video ahead of the October 21 premiere.
