Thai entertainment giant GMMTV has officially announced the end of official pairing activities for two of its prominent Boys’ Love (BL) duos: Joong Archen Aydin and Dunk Natachai Boonprasert, and Aou Thanaboon Kiatniran and Boom Tharatorn Jantharaworakarn. The agency shared this surprising news across its official social media channels on October 19, 2026, marking a major change in the company’s roster.
Mutual Agreement and Career Path Adjustments
GMMTV stated that the decision for both duos to stop working as official on-screen partners came from mutual understanding and respect. The agency explained that this transition respects each artist’s personal career path and future goals. Rather than an abrupt rupture, the network framed the split as a planned career reset. This allows the four actors to pursue separate paths in the industry.
The announcement immediately spread across international social media platforms, leaving fans stunned. Many expressed initial disbelief and questioned the timing of the dual announcement, which affects two major pillars of GMMTV’s contemporary BL lineup.
Status of Upcoming Projects and Scheduled Activities
To ease fan concerns, GMMTV assured followers that all previously announced activities and scheduled projects involving the duos will proceed as planned. This commitment applies to upcoming releases, including projects tied to Joong and Dunk, such as How To Survive My CEO, and Aou and Boom’s commitments, such as Billionaire Biker.
The company also thanked the loyal fanbase for their unwavering love and support of the four actors as official pairs. GMMTV hopes fans will continue to show the same enthusiasm for their future solo endeavors.
Looking Back at Iconic On-Screen Partnerships
The end of these partnerships closes a major chapter in modern Thai entertainment. Joong Archen and Dunk Natachai first gained widespread international attention through their breakout roles in Star in My Mind (2022). They solidified their status as a premier pairing in hit series, including Hidden Agenda (2023), The Heart Killers (2024), and Dare You to Death (2025).
Similarly, Aou Thanaboon and Boom Tharatorn built a dedicated following through their natural chemistry. After working together in projects like Enchanté (2022), they cemented their status as a beloved couple in We Are, followed by appearances in Perfect 10 Liners, Memoir of Rati, and Only Friends: Dream On.
Although the pair format for JoongDunk and AouBoom has ended, their impact on the global BL fandom ensures that their shared characters and on-screen milestones will remain deeply cherished.
