British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden have announced a surprise extension to their 50th-anniversary celebrations. They are adding 16 new dates to the final leg of their Run For Your Lives World Tour across the United States and Canada in 2027. The schedule features a major headline performance at the Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival in Columbus, Ohio. It also includes regional arena and stadium stops that will reach fans in markets missed during previous runs.
The newly announced 2027 North American itinerary reverses the band’s initial plans to take a break from live performances that year. Following a successful run across the United States and Canada in 2026, founding bassist Steve Harris explained that the enthusiastic reception inspired the group to bring their massive production to additional cities. These include stops in the Pacific Northwest and Southeast.
The tour kicks off on April 14, 2027, in Tacoma, Washington, and concludes on May 16 at the Boardwalk Rock festival in Ocean City, Maryland. Along the way, the band will stop at venues such as the UBS Arena in Belmont Park, New York, on May 11 before heading to Historic Crew Stadium for Sonic Temple.
Sonic Temple and Festival Headlining Details
Festival producer Danny Wimmer Presents confirmed Iron Maiden as the first official headliner for the 2027 Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival. The band is scheduled to take the stage on Friday, May 14. They will bring their full arena-scale production to the four-day event, which runs from May 13 to May 16 in Columbus, Ohio.
The booking follows a record-breaking year for Sonic Temple, which drew more than 184,000 attendees across four days during its 2026 installment. Festival organizers noted that single-day and four-day general admission, GA+, VIP, and premium hospitality packages are currently on sale. Specific tiers cater to fans attending specifically for Iron Maiden’s Friday headlining slot.
Support Acts and Tour Production
For the headline dates on the 2027 trek, Iron Maiden will be joined by fellow British acts Bullet For My Valentine and The Raven Age as special guests. Bullet For My Valentine is slated to release their upcoming album, Social Apocalypse, shortly before the tour begins. The Raven Age previously provided support during the band’s dates in Central and South America.
The Run For Your Lives Tour honors Iron Maiden’s first five decades. It pulls core setlist material from their first nine studio albums, ranging from their 1980 self-titled debut up through 1992’s Fear of the Dark. According to management, the total tour trajectory is expected to finish with 107 performances played before more than 3 million fans across 36 countries.

Ticketing for the newly added headline performances rolls out through a series of staggered releases:
