Former four-division boxing champion Adrien Broner and online personality DeenTheGreat released a diss track targeting streaming superstar Kai Cenat on October 15, 2026. Titled “Purple App Killa,” the nearly three-minute music video features music producer Hitmaka. It directly addresses ongoing public disagreements involving Cenat’s VIVET clothing brand, personal relationships, and controversial allegations raised by a former associate.
DeenTheGreat announced the release on X by posting, “KAI CENAT DISS TRACK OUT NOW.” The music video followed days of escalating tension. The conflict began in early October at ComplexCon in Los Angeles, where DeenTheGreat claimed he tried to support Cenat’s VIVET clothing business financially, but felt he was treated like an ordinary fan instead of a peer.
Behind the Scenes and Controversial Lyrics
Days before the official drop, behind-the-scenes footage showed Broner and DeenTheGreat recording vocals and burning a custom T-shirt with Cenat’s VIVET brand name. The track takes aim at Cenat’s online popularity, perceived lack of loyalty, and business ventures.
In one pointed section of the song, the artists rap: “And them clothes that [expletive] dropped, he could have kept it. I was supporting. I was looking out for [expletive]. Running out of clout. It’s a drought for [expletive].”
The lyrics also reference Reggie, also known as Lil Rodney Son. Reggie is a former member of the Clover Boys streaming collective who made explosive allegations against Cenat in late September. The diss track incorporates lines addressing those unverified claims, further fueling public discussion across the streaming and hip-hop communities.
Context of the Feud and ComplexCon Encounter
The animosity between the creators stems from an uncomfortable exchange at ComplexCon. DeenTheGreat expressed frustration that Kai Cenat did not give him or Ray J proper recognition or free merchandise at his booth. Media executive Lemuel Plummer later offered a contrasting account of his own visit to the VIVET booth. Plummer stated that he gladly paid for six outfits and received respectful treatment, but DeenTheGreat and Broner doubled down on their grievances.
Adrien Broner intensified the feud during an October 7 livestream alongside DeenTheGreat and Ray J. He declared that he did not care about maintaining a relationship with Cenat, stating, “I don’t give a [expletive] if he [expletive] with me or not, I don’t need Kai. He ain’t never gave me [expletive], and I [expletive] with Kai.”
Public Response and Unsubstantiated Allegations
The reference to Reggie in the diss track pulls in a separate controversy involving the Clover Boys collective. Reggie previously accused Cenat of serious misconduct and alleged he received a monthly allowance that amounted to hush money. However, those allegations have not been independently substantiated, and the teenager referenced in the claims explicitly rejected them online.
Kai Cenat strongly denied all accusations during an emotional livestream. He challenged his accusers to bring evidence to law enforcement and threatened legal action. Cenat also noted that he invested approximately $3.7 million into the Clover Boys collective.
As of mid-October 2026, Kai Cenat has not issued a direct public response to the “Purple App Killa” diss track. What began as a dispute over a clothing booth has officially transformed into a crossover rap feud bridging internet streaming culture and combat sports.
