Big Brother 28 Fans Split on Favorite Houseguest Winner

As the live Big Brother Season 28 finale approaches on October 1, 2026, major fan surveys and online trackers reveal a sharply divided audience regarding who will claim the coveted $50,000 America’s Favorite Houseguest prize. Finalists Drew Campbell and Rick Devens are locked in a tight battle across multiple platforms. Meanwhile, evicted jury member Yash Patel continues to pull substantial support from dedicated live feed watchers.

All 17 cast members from the season remain eligible for the fan-voted honor. This creates intense competition across online communities. Leading viewer trackers highlight stark contrasts in how different segments of the fanbase are casting their ballots.

Fan Poll Standings and Frontrunners

Recent data from major tracking websites and podcasts illustrate the shifting momentum heading into the final hours of voting:

• Big Brother Network: Drew Campbell leads the survey with 33.5% of the vote, followed closely by Rick Devens at 26.9% and Yash Patel at 13.2%.
• RHAP (Rob Has a Podcast): Drew Campbell maintains the top spot with 32%, with Rick Devens registering 17% and Yash Patel capturing 12%.
• Gold Derby: Rick Devens commands the lead at 36.9%, trailed by Yash Patel at 18.5% and Dee Valladares at 8.1%.
• JokersUpdates: Rick Devens surges ahead with 52.4%, followed by Drew Campbell at 15.1% and Taylor Brown at 7.8%.

Supporters of Drew Campbell credit his entertainment value and resilience in fighting his way deep into the game as an underdog. Meanwhile, backers of Rick Devens point to his strong social strategy, engaging personality, and ability to navigate high-stakes situations throughout the summer.

The Quest for a Historic Sweep

Beyond the $50,000 fan-voted honor, Rick Devens remains in contention for the season’s $750,000 grand prize. He shares this stage with fellow finalists Drew Campbell and Taylor Brown. Should Devens capture both titles, he will mirror history. Taylor Hale set this precedent during Big Brother Season 24, becoming the first player ever to win both the grand prize and America’s Favorite Houseguest on the same night.

Yash Patel, eliminated during the Week 10 double eviction, has proven to be a persistent fan favorite. Despite his departure, his competition wins and memorable Diary Room sessions keep his supporters active in online forums.

How to Cast Official Votes

While unofficial fan polls provide insight into viewer sentiment, the official winner is decided entirely by CBS viewer votes. Eligible U.S. residents aged 18 and older can cast votes on the official CBS Big Brother website. Standard rules allow fans to submit five daily votes. Fans can also earn additional votes by watching targeted promotional content or sharing results on social media channels.

Official voting closes at 9:00 a.m. PT / 12:00 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Host Julie Chen Moonves will announce the official winner of America’s Favorite Houseguest during the 90-minute live finale on CBS and Paramount+.
