Circle Internet Group generated $1.395 billion in total revenue and reserve income during the first half of 2026, driven by high utility for its flagship USDC stablecoin. According to financial figures reported in October 2026, the digital asset firm processed $36.3 trillion in on-chain transaction volume between January and June.
The company also recorded $103.5 million in net income from continuing operations over the six-month period, reflecting earnings from its core stablecoin issuance and associated financial activities. Reserve income formed the backbone of this financial performance, yielding approximately $1.32 billion of the total top-line revenue.
USDC Transaction Volume and Minting Activity
Demand for USDC remained strong throughout the first half of the year. On-chain transaction volume reached $36.3 trillion, which was split between $21.5 trillion in the first quarter and $14.8 trillion in the second quarter. These metrics included native USDC and officially bridged versions across supported blockchains, though they excluded Solana network activity.
In addition to transaction volume, Circle minted and redeemed more than $315 billion worth of USDC during the six-month window. This equates to an average conversion rate of approximately $1.7 billion per day, including weekends and holidays. These conversions between USDC and fiat currency represent distinct economic movements separate from the stablecoin’s total on-chain transaction throughput.
Breaking Down the Revenue and Cost Structure
Circle’s financial disclosures provide a granular look at how stablecoin revenue is distributed across operational costs and ecosystem partnerships. Out of the $1.395 billion collected in H1 2026:
- Distribution and Transaction Costs: Approximately $819.3 million, or roughly 59 cents of every revenue dollar, was paid to strategic partners, exchanges, and fintech platforms to support global liquidity and network transaction expenses.
- Infrastructure and Operations: Significant capital was allocated toward maintaining 24/7 redemption infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and core platform development.
- Net Profit: Net income from continuing operations accounted for $103.5 million, representing a 7% net profit margin on total revenue.
Chief Commercial Officer Kash Razzaghi defended the firm’s economic model against criticism from competing issuers who claim established providers retain an excessive share of reserve income. Razzaghi emphasized that sustaining global liquidity, regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions, and around-the-clock redemption infrastructure requires heavy recurring investments.
Partner Ecosystem and Future Outlook
Circle’s partner network includes more than 150 participants that receive a share of reserve income to incentivize USDC adoption. Coinbase remains a primary partner, and Circle further reinforced its distribution network through a five-year commercial agreement with Binance accompanied by a $100 million equity investment.
As Circle prepares for its upcoming financial disclosures, market analysts are closely watching how declining interest rates and reserve return rates will impact future margins. With plans to expand operations into roughly 40 emerging and developing markets, the company continues to scale its global infrastructure to support broader institutional stablecoin adoption.
