Dunkin’ launched a nationwide menu expansion on Wednesday, Sept. 30, introducing 12 new Halloween-inspired beverages. Eschewing traditional pumpkin flavors for the holiday rollout, the seasonal lineup focuses on crisp fruit profiles, zero-sugar energy drinks, specialized lattes, and a vibrant new Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam topping.
According to Anthony Epter, vice president of menu innovation at Dunkin’, the chain designed the seasonal additions to adapt established drink platforms into entirely new concepts. The release marks the first chapter of Dunkin’s Halloween celebration, with additional updates planned throughout October.
Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero Takes Center Stage
The foundation of the new menu is Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero, a spooky variation of the chain’s zero-sugar energy drink platform. The green apple flavor anchors four distinct beverages available nationwide for a limited time:
- Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero: Tart, crisp apple flavors combined with bubbly sparkling water.
- Midnight Apple Dunkin’ Zero: Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero mixed with blackberry flavor for a darker twist.
- Candy Kiss Dunkin’ Zero: Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero mixed with tropical mango flavor for a sweet, candy-inspired sip.
- Orchard Twist Dunkin’ Zero: Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero paired with peach flavors for a sweet-tart blend.
Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam Casts Its Spell
Dunkin’ is also introducing Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam, a Halloween-inspired twist on the chain’s fan-favorite Marshmallow Cold Foam. Featuring a bright purple hue, the topping can be ordered on any beverage or featured across five specially curated seasonal recipes. Notably, the inclusion on energy drinks marks the first time Dunkin’ has paired cold foam with its energy line.
- Sour Apple Energy: Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero paired with sour lemonade and topped with Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam.
- Dark Spell Daydream Refresher: A Daydream Refresher featuring berry clementine and blueberry flavors combined with oatmilk and topped with Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam.
- Terror-misu Cloud Latte: A creamy iced latte made with espresso and tiramisu flavors, layered with Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam and topped with hot chocolate powder.
- Franki Matcha: Sweetened matcha green tea blended with whole milk and vanilla flavor, topped with Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam for a Frankenstein-inspired finish.
- Creepy Crawler Coffee Chiller: A smooth and creamy frozen coffee blended with tiramisu flavors, drizzled with Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam and topped with whipped cream and mocha drizzle.
More Spooky Sips and Menu Adjustments
Rounding out the 12-drink roster are three additional seasonal beverages:
- Midnight Potion Refresher: A Berry Clementine Refresher with notes of blueberry combined with green tea.
- Werewolf Punch Refresher: A punch-inspired combination of blackberry, clementine, mango, and pineapple flavors mixed with lemonade.
- Nutty Nightmare Iced Coffee: Dunkin’ Iced Coffee and cream blended with tiramisu and toasted almond flavors.
While the new menu brings fresh options, industry reports note that the Spider Specialty Donut-a frosted pastry finished with a Munchkins Donut Hole Treat-has been omitted from this year’s lineup.
