Lisa Bonet Steps Out with Waist-Length Silver Hair in Paris

October 6, 2026 3 min read 0 comments

Actress Lisa Bonet stepped back into the public eye on October 3 to attend the Celine show during Paris Fashion Week. This marked a rare front-row appearance where she showcased waist-length silver locs. The 58-year-old television star paired a tan coat over a black top and pants. She accessorized with circular sunglasses while attending the event hosted by the French luxury house.

Speaking from the front row, Bonet offered rare public commentary on the latest creative direction of the fashion house. Known for her iconic roles as Denise Huxtable on The Cosby Show and its spin-off A Different World, the actress has largely stayed away from the Hollywood spotlight in recent years. This made her appearance in Paris a welcome sight for fans.

A Legacy of Silver Locs and Style

While her waist-length hair attracted considerable attention in Paris, Bonet has embraced visible grey strands for years. Photographs from the 2012 Hamilton Behind the Camera Awards first showed silver at her roots alongside a partially shaved hairstyle and long locs. Her hair has progressively evolved since then, culminating in the striking silver lengths seen at Paris Fashion Week.

Long hair has remained a familiar hallmark of Bonet’s personal aesthetic throughout her career. It transitioned from the darker locs worn at earlier red carpet events to her current salt-and-pepper and full silver styles.

Television History and Family Life

Bonet rose to fame as Denise, the independently minded Huxtable daughter whose eclectic wardrobe made her one of television’s most recognizable characters of the 1980s. She went on to anchor the first season of A Different World in 1987, following Denise to the fictional Hillman College before briefly returning to the parent series.

Her subsequent film credits include roles in Enemy of the State and High Fidelity. The latter project later connected to her eldest daughter, Zoë Kravitz, who starred in a subsequent television adaptation. Bonet shares Zoë with musician Lenny Kravitz. She also shares daughter Lola and son Nakoa-Wolf with her former husband, actor Jason Momoa, with whom she announced a separation in January 2022. Despite finalizing their divorce in July 2024, the former couple continues to support shared family milestones, such as reuniting for high school graduations.

As interest in A Different World experiences a resurgence via its Netflix revival, fans have questioned whether Bonet might return for a cameo. Former co-stars Jasmine Guy and Cree Summer recently addressed the possibility, noting that a return by Bonet remains unconfirmed.
