NBC’s hit single-camera comedy The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins returns for its second season on Monday, November 2, at 8:30 p.m. ET. Led by Tracy Morgan and Daniel Radcliffe, the freshman breakout comedy drew 14 million viewers for its premiere episode earlier this year, establishing itself as a dominant broadcast comedy.
Created by showrunners Robert Carlock and Sam Means alongside executive producer Tina Fey, the series follows disgraced professional football star Reggie Dinkins (Morgan) as he pursues redemption and renewed fame. Fresh off receiving four votes for the Hall of Fame-his highest total yet-Reggie continues his chaotic promotional comeback alongside documentary filmmaker Arthur Tobin (Radcliffe), who remains fascinated by the former athlete’s missteps.
Season 2 maintains the series’ reputation for high-profile guest stars. Current Sunday Night Football lead play-by-play announcer Mike Tirico joins the cast as himself, appearing in a comedic sequence where he interviews Reggie during a televised football segment.
Additional guest stars include Boris Kodjoe as Leslie “LP” Pervis, a successful jet-setting entrepreneur and former college acquaintance who serves as a new love interest for Monica. Meanwhile, Saturday Night Live cast member Jeremy Culhane makes his NBC comedy debut as Max, Monica’s hyper-ambitious Gen-Z marketing assistant hired to help manage public relations for Reggie’s comeback.
Returning Main Cast and Crew
The entire core ensemble returns for the second season. Alongside Morgan and Radcliffe, the cast features:
- Erika Alexander as Monica Reese-Dinkins, Reggie’s successful ex-wife, manager, and agent.
- Bobby Moynihan as Rusty Boyd, Reggie’s loyal and well-meaning best friend.
- Precious Way as Brina, Reggie’s supportive influencer fiancée.
- Jalyn Hall as Carmelo Dinkins, Reggie and Monica’s teenage son.
The first season’s explosive narrative arcs-including the surprising cliffhanger involving Carmelo and the daughter of Reggie’s arch-nemesis Jerry Basmati (played by guest star Craig Robinson)-set the stage for even more complicated dynamics as Reggie attempts to rebuild his public image.
