Born on November 30, 1968, Reggie McFadden grew up in Brooklyn, New York. According to online biographical notes, he pursued comedy as a way to navigate and escape living in the city’s housing projects.
He built his early reputation on the New York circuit. In 1991, he made his major national television debut on HBO’s influential stand-up showcase, Def Comedy Jam. This appearance brought him wider recognition, leading to a move to Los Angeles. He began performing regularly on the stand-up circuit, including sets at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas and a dedicated comedy special on Comedy Central.
Breakthrough on ‘In Living Color’ and Television Career
