Saturday Night Live UK announced its official October host lineup for the second series of the late-night sketch comedy program on Sky and NOW. Actors Danny Dyer, James Norton, and Cynthia Erivo will take on hosting duties for the next three live weekly broadcasts throughout the month.
The weekly live broadcasts air on Saturdays at 10 p.m. They bring topical sketches, musical guests, and a British adaptation of the classic Weekend Update segment to audiences. Universal Television Alternative Studio’s UK production team and Broadway Video produce the series. Lorne Michaels serves as executive producer, and James Longman acts as lead producer.
October 2026 Host and Musical Guest Schedule
The upcoming three-episode October run features high-profile British talent paired with acclaimed musical acts:
- October 10, 2026: BAFTA award-winning actor Danny Dyer (Rivals, Mr Big Stuff) will host. Singer-songwriter Sasha Keable will appear as the musical guest.
- October 17, 2026: Actor James Norton (Happy Valley, House of Guinness) takes the stage. Iconic electronic music group The Streets will join him.
- October 24, 2026: Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award-winning and three-time Oscar-nominated actor and singer Cynthia Erivo (Wicked, Harriet) will host. Indie rock band Blossoms will perform as the musical guests.
Season 2 Expansion and Production Details
Season 2 of Saturday Night Live UK has expanded to a 12-episode run. This gives viewers four additional episodes compared to the inaugural season. The current installment airs in two distinct blocks. Following the October episodes, the remaining six episodes are scheduled to air in early 2027.
The series kicked off its second season with host Jeff Goldblum and musical guest CMAT. Subsequent episodes featured Jamie Demetriou with Royal Blood, and Amelia Dimoldenberg with Rachel Chinouriri.
The core ensemble cast returned in full for Season 2. The cast includes Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi, and Paddy Young. Comedian Freddie Meredith also joined the ensemble cast for the current season, following recognition for his work on Such Brave Girls and Big Boys.
