Marvel Television has officially confirmed that VisionQuest, the highly anticipated follow-up to WandaVision and Agatha All Along, will premiere on Disney Plus on October 14, 2026. The eight-episode series marks the return of Paul Bettany as the titular synthezoid, picking up the narrative thread of the “White Vision” who fled Westview with his memories restored but his emotions absent.
Plot Overview: A Search for Meaning
Following the events of WandaVision, Vision has been living in hiding to avoid those who seek to weaponize his technology. In his quest to rediscover his humanity, he retreats into his own programming. He consults various AI personas embedded within his mind, including J.A.R.V.I.S., F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., and the return of the infamous Ultron, played once again by James Spader.
The series takes a turn when a bounty is placed on Vision’s head. This forces him to go on the run alongside Thomas Shepherd, a mysterious teenager who may be the reincarnated soul of Vision’s son, Tommy Maximoff. Showrunner Terry Matalas has described the series as an exploration of intergenerational trauma and identity, set against the backdrop of a reality-warping mansion within Vision’s own consciousness.
