Wizards Announces Secret Lair Re-Release After Tech Failures

Wizards of the Coast announced on October 1, 2026, that it will hold a second sale for the Secret Lair x MSCHF: The Zeta Set on December 9, 2026. The move comes in response to severe technical failures and system outages that disrupted the initial product queue launch.

According to an investigation by Secret Lair’s processing partner, an external service disruption heavily strained backend checkout systems early in the initial sale. The resulting server backlogs halted order updates and forced thousands of prospective buyers to wait in non-functioning queues for over ninety minutes before inventory officially sold out.

Guaranteed Fulfillment on December 9

To rectify the checkout issues and accommodate frustrated collectors, Wizards of the Coast will open a 24-hour unlimited pre-order window on December 9, 2026. This special window guarantees complete fulfillment for all purchases successfully made during that 24-hour timeframe.

Because of the print-to-order nature of this upcoming re-release run, delivery for these items is currently scheduled for the second half of 2027.
