Glastonbury 2027 Coach Tickets Sell Out In 30 Minutes

October 2, 2026 3 min read 0 comments

Coach packages for the Glastonbury 2027 festival sold out within 30 minutes on October 1, 2026. Promoter See Tickets introduced new queue rules that disrupted traditional group booking methods. Sales for the ticket and coach travel bundles opened at 6:00 p.m. BST and were completely gone by 6:31 p.m., according to See Tickets. The rapid sellout occurred as buyers adapted to technical changes designed to curb automated buying tools.

Under the revised system, registration codes allowed only a single queue position per user. This prevented music fans from accessing the platform across multiple devices simultaneously. The measure effectively ended syndicate-style buying arrangements where groups shared codes to boost their odds of obtaining entry. The upcoming edition of Glastonbury will mark the festival’s return following a fallow year in 2026, taking place between Wednesday, June 23, and Sunday, June 27, at Worthy Farm in Pilton, Somerset.

New Anti-Bot Queue Rules Disrupt Group Bookings

For the first time, customers faced an extra verification step. They had to enter their unique registration code to access the virtual queue. Buyers were then greeted with a visual line of black bars that gradually turned green as they progressed toward the front. However, hopefuls who tried entering their codes on multiple devices to improve their chances discovered they were assigned the exact same queue identification number and position. Others encountered error pages.

Social media quickly filled with complaints about the visual bar system. Many participants reported getting stuck on “two bars” for the entirety of the 30-minute window before the sold-out notification appeared. Festival veterans and podcast hosts, including Jessi Dimmock of Glasto Cast, noted that while the process remains intensely stressful, it continues to draw massive crowds of eager applicants.

Record Ticket Pricing Fails to Dampen Demand

The initial sale provided an early test of market demand following confirmation that general admission prices have surpassed the £400 threshold for the first time in festival history. Tickets for 2027 cost £408 each, which includes a £5 booking fee. This marks a £29.50, or approximately 7.8%, increase from the £378.50 charged for the 2025 event.

Despite the higher price point, the opening coach allocation vanished in roughly the same timeframe as previous years. Coach packages for the 2025 festival similarly sold out in about 30 minutes when they went on sale in late 2024. Buyers on Thursday were required to pay a £100 deposit per person alongside the full cost of their coach travel. The remaining £308 festival balance is due during the first week of April 2027.

Next Steps and General Admission Sale

With coach packages fully exhausted, unsuccessful buyers immediately turned their attention to the upcoming general admission ticket sale scheduled for Sunday, October 4, at 9:00 a.m. BST. Only individuals who completed advance registration prior to the September 25 deadline are eligible to participate in Sunday’s sale.

Festival organisers, including Emily Eavis, have continued to manage speculation regarding next year’s headline acts. Eavis explicitly ruled out rumors surrounding both Madonna and a festival appearance by Oasis. This leaves the official Pyramid Stage lineup open to heavy speculation from fans and bookmakers alike. Those who miss out on Sunday’s general sale will have one final opportunity to secure entry during the official spring resale in April 2027, when canceled or unpaid tickets are returned to the pool.
