Games Workshop has officially unveiled seven new Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce box sets ahead of the holiday season. These seasonal bundles give hobbyists and tabletop players themed collections designed to launch fresh armies or substantially expand existing forces. The upcoming releases span multiple factions across the Imperium, Chaos, and various Xenos races, offering a diverse array of characters, infantry, vehicles, and towering centerpiece miniatures.
While official retail pricing has not yet been detailed by Warhammer Community, these annual holiday boxes historically deliver substantial financial savings compared to purchasing the individual kits separately. Given their limited-production nature, demand is expected to be high when pre-orders officially open.
The Seven Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce Sets
The newly announced lineup touches on fan-favorite chapters, sinister heretics, and relentless alien swarms. Several of the featured component kits also incorporate alternative construction options, granting players flexibility when assembling their units.
Space Marines: Indomitus Task Force
Tailored for veteran-focused lists, this generic Space Marine collection is anchored by a unit of five Terminators led by a Captain in Terminator Armour and supported by a Chaplain. Additional battlefield support comes from five Assault Intercessors with Jump Packs, a Redemptor Dreadnought, and a standard squad of 10 Intercessors, blending ranged firepower with durable close-combat models.
Chaos Knights: Helhunt Lance
Designed for players who prefer a low model-count army with massive impact, the Helhunt Lance features a towering Knight Ruinator as its centerpiece. This heavy combat walker can alternatively be constructed as a Knight Abominant, Knight Rampager, or Knight Desecrator. Accompanying the towering lord are four War Dog Stalkers, which feature alternative builds as War Dog Brigands or War Dog Karnivores.
Orks: Armoured Blitzmob
Serving as an ideal expansion for players who picked up recent Ork summer releases, the Armoured Blitzmob introduces 10 additional Boyz to build core infantry strength. Heavy-hitting support arrives in the form of Meganobz and a Deff Dread, all marshaled by a Warboss in Mega Armor, with transport provided by a customizable Battlewagon or Gunwagon.
Space Wolves: Champions of Fenris
Focusing entirely on the sons of Russ, this chapter-specific box is led by Logan Grimnar, the Great Wolf, alongside his personal champion, Arjac Rockfist. The pair command an imposing vanguard of 15 Wolf Guard Terminators, creating a hard-hitting, elite infantry force built for close-quarters engagement.
Blood Angels: Angelus Assault Force
The Blood Angels join the holiday lineup with an aggressive assault formation led by Commander Dante. His forces include a personal retinue of three Sanguinary Guard, a squad of five Death Company Marines with Jump Packs overseen by a Jump Pack Chaplain, and a terrifying Death Company Brutalis Dreadnought. A dedicated Blood Angels upgrade frame is also included to customize the miniatures.
Chaos Space Marines: Cult of Destruction
Heretic Astartes collectors receive a heavy support-oriented box led by a technological Warpsmith. The force centers around a daemonic Defiler, an arachnoid Venomcrawler, two versatile Obliterators, three Mutilators, and a five-strong squad of Havocs, providing long-range bombardment and corrupted mechanical might.
Necrons: Disciples of the Nekrosor
The final revealed collection steers clear of Space Marines entirely, highlighting Nekrosor Ammentar and his picked warband. The centerpiece model is the devastating C’tan Shard of the Nightbringer. Supporting units include 10 Necron Warriors, three Ophydian Destroyers, three Canoptek Scarab Swarms, and a heavy-firepower Canoptek Doomstalker.
Release Expectations
Games Workshop has confirmed that pre-orders for all seven Warhammer 40,000 Battleforce boxes will open later in the year. Due to traditional holiday demand and limited stock allocations, players are advised to monitor official channels for exact pricing and release dates.
