Netflix expanded its streaming library by adding the first three seasons of the hit sci-fi horror series From on October 19, 2026. This release brings the puzzle-box thriller to a broader audience just in time for Halloween. It also serves as a promotional window ahead of the show’s fifth and final season on MGM+.
Created by John Griffin and executive produced by Jack Bender alongside Joe and Anthony Russo, From originally debuted in February 2022 on Epix before moving to MGM+. The story begins when the Matthews family-Jim, Tabitha, Julie, and Ethan-encounter a fallen tree on a road trip. When they try to find another route, they become trapped in a mysterious, inescapable middle-American town.
What Is the Plot of From?
The town refuses to let its inhabitants leave. Once people enter, vehicles stall, roads loop back, and escape is impossible. The situation turns deadly after sundown. Malevolent creatures that mimic humans emerge from the surrounding forest to hunt anyone caught outside.
Survival depends on self-appointed sheriff Boyd Stevens, played by Lost star Harold Perrineau. He maintains order and enforces strict safety rules. Residents use mysterious stone talismans hung near doorways to keep the nocturnal monsters away. As newcomers like the Matthews family and tech entrepreneur Jade Herrera adapt, the town’s dark secrets begin to unravel.

The series has earned strong praise from critics, maintaining high Rotten Tomatoes scores, including a 100% rating for its third season. While the first three seasons are available on Netflix through a limited-time licensing agreement, the fourth season already concluded exclusively on MGM+.
Looking Ahead to Season 5
Amazon MGM Studios confirmed in April 2026 that the upcoming fifth season will conclude the show. Production for the final installment began in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on July 6, 2026. It is scheduled to wrap in late November 2026, targeting a 2027 premiere date on MGM+.
For viewers watching the newly arrived back catalog on Netflix, this limited-time availability offers a direct way to catch up on the mystery before the series reaches its conclusion in 2027.
