Rolling Stones Drop Courtney Pine Collaboration on Deluxe Album

The Rolling Stones have released a new single, “Who You Callin’ Crazy,” featuring acclaimed British jazz saxophonist Courtney Pine. The track is part of their preparations for an expanded edition of their 2026 studio album Foreign Tongues. Announced on October 20, the track serves as a direct preview of Foreign Tongues Loose Lips, a five-song companion collection arriving on November 27 through Polydor and Universal Music Group.

The fresh recording blends Mick Jagger’s distinctive vocals with the band’s signature guitar-driven rock sound. It is elevated significantly by Pine’s sharp saxophone lines. The deluxe release will bundle four additional unreleased or previously distributed bonus recordings. These were pulled from the exact same creative sessions that birthed the original album earlier this year.

On the opening verse of “Who You Callin’ Crazy,” Jagger delivers a playful, jittery performance describing nervous behavior before the arrangement swells toward a high-energy chorus. Standout lyrics highlight the restless theme: “If I look nervous, about to collapse/ if I’m squirming like a rat in a trap/ I keep blinking, my nose starts to twitch/ I keep scratching, don’t know where to itch.”

Inside the Foreign Tongues Loose Lips Expanded Edition

Originally released in July, Foreign Tongues dominated international charts, reaching No. 1 in 14 countries. The upcoming deluxe package expands that initial 14-track tracklist into a 19-song collection. Alongside the Courtney Pine collaboration, the release features “Bad Luck Hideaway,” a shared lead vocal duet between Jagger and Keith Richards. This track originally appeared as an iTunes-exclusive bonus track before securing a wider digital release.

The remaining new cuts rounding out the five-song extension include “Where There’s A Will,” “Human Tide,” and “She Still Comes Around.” Courtney Pine previously contributed to Jagger’s 1993 solo record Wandering Spirit. He revealed details of the tracking sessions during an interview on BBC Radio 3’s Private Passions.

“When the tongue is up in the air, you just go… I can say we did some recording together, but that’s all I can say,” producer Andrew Watt previously shared regarding the high-energy environment surrounding the album’s recording sessions.

Physical and Digital Release Formats

Universal Music and Polydor have confirmed multiple formats for fans looking to secure the deluxe materials:

  • Standalone Vinyl Edition: Pressed on heavyweight red vinyl, housing all five Loose Lips tracks in a matte and spot-gloss sleeve with a die-cut center opening, accompanied by the original 14-track album on CD.
  • Deluxe 2CD Edition: Features a six-panel digisleeve, a 16-page booklet with gold-foil detailing, Disc 1 housing the original Foreign Tongues sequence, and Disc 2 containing the five additional studio recordings.
  • Digital Streaming: Available across major digital platforms, with “Who You Callin’ Crazy” launching early as an introductory streaming single.

Future Outlook and Touring Plans

The Stones maintain fierce momentum in the studio. They are following up their Grammy-winning 2023 comeback LP Hackney Diamonds with back-to-back releases. However, prospects for an immediate global tour remain uncertain.

Guitarist Ronnie Wood recently noted that he and Jagger are eager to return to the live stage. Meanwhile, lead guitarist Keith Richards is currently less enthusiastic about heading out on the road. For a band that has spent more than six decades shaping the landscape of modern rock and roll, Foreign Tongues Loose Lips ensures that their latest creative chapter continues to yield fresh surprises for listeners worldwide.
