About Hero of the Seas and Itineraries

As the fourth vessel in Royal Caribbean’s Icon Class-following Icon of the Seas, Star of the Seas, and Legend of the Seas–Hero of the Seas is taking shape at the Meyer Turku shipyard in Finland. Following its float-out milestone, interior outfitting is underway across the vessel.

When the ship launches in August 2027, it will offer alternating seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries out of PortMiami. Key operational details include:

  • Eastern Caribbean Itineraries: Calls at tropical destinations such as St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

  • Private Island Access: Every single sailing will feature a dedicated stop at Royal Caribbean’s private island destination in The Bahamas, Perfect Day CocoCay.

In addition to theater productions, Hero of the Seas will introduce travelers to the neighborhood concepts that define the Icon Class. Onboard highlights span multiple decks and activity zones:

  • Category 6: Recognized as the largest waterpark at sea.
