British pop icon Will Young has announced a 16-date UK tour for 2027. The “Evergreen 25th Anniversary Tour” celebrates the 25th anniversary of his victory on the inaugural season of Pop Idol. Young will be joined by a full band to perform his greatest hits, marking a major milestone in his career.
A Quarter-Century of Pop Success
The tour begins in February 2027. This follows Young’s successful 2024 acoustic tour, which supported his Top 5 album, Light It Up. Reflecting on his journey from entering a competition via a newspaper clipping to becoming a household name, Young expressed gratitude for the public support that has sustained his career for over two decades.
“To reach 25 years is a privilege and an honour. Who knew entering a competition by cutting out a piece from the newspaper would lead to the most exciting 20 weeks of my life in Pop Idol and a relationship with the public that has lasted for so long,” Young stated.
